Not delusional at all, I just dont get the ridicule and hate that was directed to a manager who won us our first European Trophy for decades, a moment in our clubs history which reunited so many supporters who have not been supported by the club for so many years, just forgotten. Calling the manager fat, a cunt and other hate related insults just let the standard of this forum down and denigrated a man and his family who wanted to stay with the club, was supported by the players, but hated by some sections of the fans on this forum who should perhaps have thought a bit more before they wanted Ange to fuck off back to the second rate clubs he had won with before. I wish the new manager the best of luck and Ange the best whoever he coaches in the future, but as a supporter of this great club it was disappointing to see people on this forum arguing with each other (myself included) instead of perhaps directing our disappointments to the Chairman and a new CEO previously having worked at Woolwich FC.
How many PL matches did you go to from Nov onwards?
And tell me the clubs that we beat?
Such a long list.
A relegated Saints and the worst MU since before you were born kiddo.
Armchair eejit.
Should’ve been gone in Nov. We’d have still won the EL and we wouldn’t have lost 22 PL in total
He “won” a cup in the way that RDM “won” CL.
Let’s see which global monster he manages next eh? The Darwin Dildoes? That’s his level

I do not want to be alright. i want more nights like the Europa final and not one of the runners up in the PL
The "alright" was from his own perspective not the fans perspective, if he maintains a high league position challenging for top places he will not get the boot.
If he wins a FA cup but league form is poor he will get sacked, it's just the reality of modern day football and it's endless pursuit of cash and not silverware.

First ever Spurs manager with massive ears?
Stellini!

There is actually no reason why our league form should be that poor for prioritising a Cup that consists of only 6 matches. The Europa was much more. It could make the difference between say 4th & 7th not near the bottom. If we end up near the bottom it will not be because of the FACup. Ask Palace fans if they would swap winning the FACup for say 2/3 higher places in the PL.

There’s shades of El Tel with a twist in this storyline!!

90/91 season. Historic FA cup win. With Gazza and Linekar two of the best attacking players in world football. He had better talent at his disposal that Solanke and Maddison.
1 league win after Boxing Day. 1!!!

And then who did Terry go onto manage after Spurs?? 3 year unemployed break then…… England.

But do you know who his next job was after that??? I was very very surprised tbh.

History remembers the FA cup win. Not the awful league form.
History remembers Euro 96. Not what he did straight after that.

El Tel?
I think he had a bit more credit in the bank.
First Barcelona title for 15 years
FACup final with 2nd Div QPR and took Spurs to a replay
Palace - 3rd to 1st Div in 3 seasons
Spurs - finished 3rd the season before
That cup win season we came 11th (not 17th) lost 11 (not 22)
Not a great 2nd half of the season in the league granted, but we didn’t lose a single home game

Very poor comparison
Must do better

Ohhh. Yes, I don't think Postecoglou has ever appeared on TOTP, so was it appearing on the popular Australian TV series, "Stop Coughing, You Useless Bastard"?

I must say I look forward to retirement and watching some of the 500 channels I currently ignore.

Sounds like a great bit of prime time Aussie Tv!!

What’s it on??
The Bonza! Channel?

Is your reading comprehension very poor??
You would fail exams with that answer my friend!!!

it’s like me asking you what planet is closest to the sun and you proceeding to tell me about all the stars in the galaxy just to show off.

Absolutely nothing to do with what was asked!!!

Mercury.

Easy question. Next...

Of course Palace fans wouldn't swap but you don't get that choice you either win something or you don't.
Fact remains fans want silverware, owners primarily want the highest league postion possible and as proven in the Everton versus PL case actually budget their spending on PL prize money that they expect to win.

Here is the relevant part from the Everton case , the business plan of owners is to finish as high in th PL as possible for the prize money, FA/League cups etc are not but a bonus if you win one , the aim of owners is high league position.

21. In October 2019 Everton produced a Sustainable Business Plan. The plan projected that the club would regularly finish in the top eight clubs of the Premier League, and that the new stadium would be constructed. It recognised the significant recent expenditure on players but projected both a reduced need to purchase new players coupled with revenue generated fromthe sale of existing players. This is what Mr Moshiri described as being the normal investment cycle.
Just to back up what owners want, this is from the Brighton financial report , zero mention of winning cups as it's cash that counts.

Looking ahead
Our long-term vision for the club, first outlined in 2019, remains the same: to be sustainable, for the men’s team to consistently be a top-ten Premier League club,

Longer term; bobbling around the bottom half whilst swiping a domestic cup once in a rare moon will not satiate a fans appetite for seeing their team play well on a consistent basis.

As we learned this season; losing more often than not is miserable.......

Have you ever wondered why a lot of fans prefer the champo to an annual relagation battle?

Meanwhile you don't get to sustain regular silverware without the money that consistently high league finishes earns (*).

(*Unless you are a bent club with a given license to cheat like MC & CFC.)
