I know , which means cannon fodder like Wigan along with 3 other smaller teams who have all been Championship or lower at some point ( not the same season ) have won this trophy yet Spurs under Levy couldn’t

But there are 57 people on here who think Levy shits golden nuggets

I think you're missing the point. We haven't won it in the past 33 years because managers haven't given a toss about it or haven't put out strong sides. It isn't a case of "couldn't", but rather "haven't".

The only way that statistic is relevant to the ownership is if you think the club should say "fuck the league, go for the FA Cup". And why should they? It would be a moronic gamble, as Wigan found out.

The narrative has shifted from "when was the last time we won a trophy" to "we haven't won the FA Cup in years"

Ya'll think your slick, I see you mutherfuckers. :sonpoint:

We would not have got relegated going for the FA cup,. If we did sack it off it would have been Baldy prioritising CL and EL qualification.

Sure - Poch got the FA Cup semis and said "May as well stick Vorm in the nets against Man United, because Levy wants top 4"

Also - you don't know what would or wouldn't have got us relegated. We were at risk of it this season, and only avoided it because of how awful the bottom three were

Well after 25 years in charge we should not be flirting with relegation unless the person at the top is incompetent

Of course it won't

Because if we won more the goalposts will continue to get shifted.
Not at all. I have been consistent in my loathing of Levy for a very very long time . Not just for the lack of success either, I have called out his disingenuous behaviour for equally as long. Add to that the deeply vile Lewis in the background and I have no need to goal post shift.

I know 57 people on here disagree with my above opinion of them, takes all sorts

What’s your point?

BFC is a tiny club. The owners will prioritise PL survival over a cup run all day long.

When Eddie H was at AFCB they threw the cup games regularly.

At NUFC they got to a final and the won first trophy since 1955.

It’s how it is. If you think BFC is like Spurs then you have a lot to learn.

We had been throwing the Europa League every time we were in it until 24/25 became the weirdest in THFC history.

We've had 8 semi finals since we last won it.
We absolutely have been trying.
The problem is, in all of those semi finals bar Everton in 95, and Portsmouth, we have come against considerably better teams.

We were never in danger of going down last season. We finished on 38 points, which has been enough to stay up in virtually every season since the Premier League started. We were 15 points clear of eighteenth place FFS.

Also if the teams below us had been less awful, we'd have more than likely, actually finished higher up in the table, as Leicester, Southampton, and Ipswich, would probably have taken more points off the teams above us.

I turn it around it is not tolerable not to have won the F A Cup for 34 years. I never said it would be easy but Palace & Leicester have done it & even MU who are not better than us have done it.

But "tolerate" you have; regardless.......

Whereas; if we're shit anyway; what is there to give you hope that we might semi-regularly win a dom cup?

The question remains....... At what point does your interest wain?

There's been 15 teams relegated with 38 or more points since the Premier League started but some of those seasons consisted of 42 games.

You’re being very generous regarding when it got shit under Ange as I thought it got shit the previous October after the 9 man high line against the Chavs which was nothing short of embarrassing 😳
Memory may be fuzzy, but didn’t we come very close to getting something from that game and only spit the bit at the very end?

Lotta things to complain about in the Ange era. Never understood the focus on that game.

So 38pts is acceptable to you?
