Can't argue with that. Fanbase, history, stadium, expectations, you name it. I prefer to think that he's similar to Poch when he moved from Saints. Although on the plus side is he's achieved more. Poch took over a promoted club which since the late 1960's had spent most of the time in the top div. Frank has got BFC promoted and then established. The last time they'd been in Div 1 was 1947!That's my biggest worry - managing Brentford is a different kettle of fish to managing us,
He's moving from a very small London club. Until 3 years ago I'd say that only Orient and AFC Wimbledon were smaller. I'm encouraged that he comes across so well in interviews etc. It doesn't look like anything phases him. When he lost that idiot Toney and a load of injured players at the same time I don't recall him complaining. He just got on with it and comfortably stayed clear of relegation danger.
He'll do his best, he'll improve us up the PL table for sure, we won't lose 22 in a season. I think he'll have us in contention for European spots. CL will be a massive challenge for him, no question, but he'll be a better manager than most of the oppos. He's managed to beat several of the top teams with BFC, inc a double over City, despite someone here complaining that he was useless v top 6.
