"They are preparing the list together with Thomas Frank. So at the moment, there could be plenty of names before they decide who is the player they want. For sure. One player they appreciate already, since last summer, is Eberechi Eze, who did fantastically this season at Crystal Palace. And so he remains one of the targets in the list at Spurs.
"But at the moment still not an active negotiation, because they are still assessing all the options and then deciding who is the player they want to sign." - Fabrizio Romano
Pointless imo. We will only spend it on mediocrity anyway.
We have enough money to compete but we spread it so thin and flutter it away on player that won't make a worthwhile impact.
Tried to read a Football London article on Spurs 63 million Tuesday splurge in the transfer market which opened with how many players we have already signed from last year and ended with 100s of pop up adds which continuously forced me to back to the top of the page making it totally unreadable. That is the worst website for pop ups.

Have to admit, I’m starting to get a bit worried by how Lange will look by the end of this window.
It’s starting to look like he hides behind this youth policy because he doesn’t have the connections and ability to identify elite level senior players.
That his limitations though.
Get players on low wages so bring in the likes of Bergvall, Gray, Vuskovic as a means to get elite talent without paying high wages, the downside being they won’t be elite for years afterwards and a few of them will fail. I don’t see Lange’s signings as bad in the context of buying future stars. I mean there are two ways we can go.
1 Lange get in future stars for low wages.
2 Paratici get a guy who has a big book of contacts to get under priced deals.
We don’t really have much of an alternative to this unless we are willing to accept big wages and agent fees.
Tottenham could attract big players if, they made themselves more attractive EG, paying the wages big players want.I realised that all this young player focus, from Bergvall to Boast, from Grey to Kinsky, is a bear market to flip players after a few years for big profits. It is complimented by messaging fans about more jam tomorrow. It is quite extraordinary the capacity of some fans for this hubris. The club falls behind footballistically twice a year. Once during the summer transfer window and again at the end of the league season. Both reinforce the other's retardation. Another mediocre/poor league season means nobody world class is willing to go to Spurs. Because of this, the club falls back on trying to strike gold in a lottery of young player purchases. A simbiotic downward spiral.
Think this will be another average window like last summer. We're never going to get a star signing as we dont pay the wages.
Not currantly.
I agree but I don’t see how being a guy that can only sign players 3-4 years off the top level or mid level guys is enough to be the DOF at a club this size.
Granted Levy is setting those budget limits
Figured as much.
Lange isn’t our DoF he is our technical director. Ideally we need a DoF hence the Paratici coming back links.
But I thought we were talking transfer targets before he signed on.
Which is it ?
Drawing up a list wtf, targets and out goings so.e of which would have been discussed during interviews.
