I won’t judge Ange-era Son as Ange didn’t have a fucking clue how to get the best out of him. He played Son as a wide forward resigned to sending low driven balls in for BJ to get on the end of which is completely not Sonny’s game.

It is my belief that if Son stays he will be back to his best under a coach who can actually coach a team effectively and who can adapt to get the best out of his players. He may have lost some pace but he won’t have lost his lethal shooting ability which is undeniably world class, just needs to receive the ball further up the field next season and he’ll be fine.

With Eze seemingly out of the picture I can’t see us finding a suitable replacement, Kudus is a RW so won’t replace Son.
TBF, I expect Frank will get a lot more out of a number of our players that some consider failed, or disappointing at least, signings right now. Expect to see a lot better from Johnson, Tel, and Odobert. Have high hopes for the levels Spence and Udogie will hit as well.

Why come to us in the first place?

He's a very rich man living in one of the greatest cities in the world.

If all he's interested in is a sun tan then he should fuck off to Greece.

He was brilliant in the Final but that might be the ONLY game we saw the Romero that plays fur Argentina.

Good riddance to the cunt.

:dembelefingers:

I'd say it's pretty typical for players to like the idea of doing a stint in all the big leagues............

- He's done Italy > Defender of the year.
- Onto the prem > Europa League winner on much bigger wages than before.
- Then onto Spain at 27 now the missus has had enough of London......

Probably couldn't have mapped it much more ideally if he tried.

Keeping hold of it's stars was historically a problem for the EPL... Most of the truly world class players left eventually even if they were winning titles.
