Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

a year with a world class cb leading up to a world cup is worth more, especially with a new coach. keeping cuti for another year will be huge. he probably wants to go to spain but i don't think he's going to make a big stink. once the season starts he'll be committed and if we get some positive momentum who knows? he might stay

He will be even less concerned about Spurs with a year to go until the world cup. His place is guaranteed in the Argentina team, all he needs to do is make sure he avoids any serious injuries in the next 9 months so he won't be fully committed with how he plays. Plus he would have been denied the move to Spain which he and his family want so will bear a grudge against Levy.

There are very few positives in keeping a player that wants to leave.

Kudus will be done by the weekend, 2 more days until that 10 day release clause is done...West Ham I reckon are holding out hoping that someone does a hail mary bid and matches his release clause (they won't) Don't think they'll wanna drag it out cause they kinda need the money.

So I just had a look at kudus take on map via the recent Athletic article.

Shows around 43 takes ons, in and around the oppositions 18 yard box with 15 being successful...... majority of his successful take ons are from deeper positions.

My question is, how does this stand up against other wide men... is it still at a decent success rate?

Or is the the stat just a waste of time and not a true reflection of his ability as a winger and suggest he might be more suited to an attacking 8 or a mezzala type role like he used to play sometimes at Ajax.

This really concerns me. I think he will simply not put himself on the line.

This window we've been pretty open about chasing after Mbuemo, Semenyo and Kudus. So I'm a little worried that there are still no real links to a DM at all.

Baleba and Wharton are probably off limits to our spending model. The best youngsters seem to be Stiller, Agoume and Reitz. Or do we chase an old head with plenty of experience to help guide some of our younger players. Or is Frank happy to go with what we have?

I'm hoping that Lange is sneaking around in the shadows and we will find out who it is when they sign but not sure that Lange still has that type of role.

If that's the case then he'll find himself out the team and no-one wants to be going to a major tournament with no games under their belt and out of form.

Anyway I think this is moot, Atletico will pay up eventually - they're just playing silly buggers.
