Saturdays and Sundays they were running through treacle, blindfolded and drunk seemingly.

So let's say the top 4 are Liv, Chel, City and Ars are we expecting 1st season Frank to finish above 4th season Howe, why is this?

Yes his tactics will be less wild, and we will set up more traditionally, but he’s quite a unique character and there’s a chance they think he’s inauthentic and players take the piss out of the Scandinavian and find him aloof and lacking gravitas

Signing four of five first teamers give him a chance as a) they improve on poor performers like Son, Tel, Johnson and others and b) they are more likely to have loyalty to the mgr that brought them in

Every single manager (and that includes Nuno AND Sherwood!) would have won Europa league if by some miracle they would have also been allowed to fully sacrifice the league.

It is European equivalent of getting relegated to Championship and then bragging that winning the Championship is much greater than finishing 2nd place in Premier League. Cause winning Europa League is literally getting promotion to top level (and to level that we finished in 2nd place once).

Ange never made us THE BEST team. He made us 37th in European football rankings. Poch made us 2nd. CL final was monumentally bigger achievement.
