There’s been no new info in the past week, every new comment on the situation is a variation of what’s already been said. Nobody has a clue what’s actually going on.
To add to this.

There's been nothing but old information this last 7 days, all further discussion of the matter is just a twist on what has been previously mentioned. Everybody is in the dark in what's really occurring.

...except for the animal sex. There were rumours and suspicions before, but now they've actually come out and admitted it.

Forest haven’t taken legal action ?

Well they have reported both us and the agent to the Premier League, which could get us sporting penalties and put us on notice of a legal charge.
I'm still trying to get my head round why so many of our fans believe we're at fault here??

I mean the contract is between Forest and MGW? I fail to see how we could do anything that got us a penalty? I can see MGW or his agent getting one as he's signed the contract but us? We didn't sign any NDA with Forest, we don't have a legally binding contract with Forest do we? You can't get in trouble for enquiring about a player can you?

I mean, there's zero evidence (as in provable stuff) just conjecture and I can't think what evidence there can be that would get US in trouble.

Even if there's an email from us to an agent that says "We're interested in MGW, please tell us the lowest we have to go to get him" then the agent can just tell us no as that's private information.

But still, asking the question isn't wrong is it???

So many articles are reporting our "illegal approach" but not actually saying what that is and so many fans willing to accept that we must have done something wrong.

The main complaint (the one to the League) seems to be we were talking to MGW before being given permission by Forest to.

The secondary complaint (where we have been put on legal notice) is we coerced the agent or MGW to break their contract by informing us of the clause and tried to use that known illegally gained information for commercial gain, and it has subsequently reduced his potential value.

Now the validity of those claims is not known yet, but the case has clearly been put forward.

it is a very strange situation! lets say we go to MGW agent and say we are interested does he have a release clause? are they meant to lie to us that he doesnt have one or is it the figure thats meant to be kept a secret? whats to stop us sticking in offer after offer increasing it by a million at a time upwards of 45, until it actually triggers the clause?

surely if weve done nothing wrong they should be sued for accusing us of doing something illegal?
But again - Have Forest made a statement accusing us of something or is it all just behind doors rumours.

Genuine question - has there been an official accusation against us from Forest reported?

They've complained to the Premier League but that could have been about any facet of the deal.

Absolutely nothing, and if we did know that it was a secret then that's exactly what we would have done so that no one suspected.

If anything I would bet that the agent told us the release clause but failed to tell us he was not allowed to tell us the release clause and failed to tell us that it should be kept secret, so we've bowled in with the exact release clause payment and Forest have got the hump.

The only person at fault would be whoever told us the release clause not us.
