Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Despite having all these attacking options, I still don't think there's enough goals in that department. I think we need to sell 2 or 3 and bring in another elite forward.

An absolute freak on the internet found out that MGW's wife has started liking beauty salons in London.

Pre-internet Earth was so much better than this.
I am not a freak I just like great make up, so coincidentally follow the same people. My absolute favourite is Charlotte Felixstowe .

EDIT: Charlotte Tilbury , I knew she was named after a port in England. I qualify for the 10% discount she gives to all dockers on mascara. This is why you see a lot of Millwall fans wearing her make up, it’s like Rue Paul’s drag race there on a match day .

The Sun (I know I know) is reporting that Wharton will stay another year at palace and that pool want to sign him next summer. Obviously a lot of stuff can happen in a year but pool are an exceptionally well run club so wouldn't surprise me that they do already have thoughts as to what they do over next 1-2 years in transfer market.

I'm the exact opposite - if we don't win I'd rather it be Liverpool. They piss me off because it's proof that it can be done responsibly, but they've built their squad the right way and I can't fault them for it. Supporters are twats, but most oppo are (and plenty of our own, TBF).

City are owned by sincerely horrible people and have contributed massively to the eradication of any remaining good in football.

In the past I’d have agreed with this at one point. Obviously preferred City for the same reason as also given as well.

Can’t bring myself to give a shit anymore. What’s the fucking Point of the PL when the same teams have a god given right to win it every year

Which makes your protestations about Levy's comments about winning the league a bit weird and pretty pointless.

Did anyone actually want Richarlison when he was bought from Everton? I don’t & have never thought he was a marquee signing. The best game he played was probably against us when Everton were being managed by Ancelloti and looked like a top 6 team. We overpaid for him too imho.

My Everton supporting mate loves him, I don’t dislike him as an individual but whenever he puts anything close to 100% in a match he goes off injured.

We need a proper DM - I fear writing a “6” for some bell sniffer to start moaning about it.

We’ve got 5 options at LWF but only 1 has the potential to be what we need. Son can’t play there anymore on a consistent basis, Solomon isn’t elite, Moore and Yang need loans. That leaves Tel, he needs to step up or we need to go back into the market.

Finally to compete for the title we would also need to upgrade our striker - Osimhen would have been the one in my opinion.

Wharton and Osimhen - probably a further £150m and I’ve also assumed MGW does arrive. To be honest that would still leave question marks over the keeper position as well
Odobert plays best on the left, and is ready to have a breakout season now he has two PL seasons under his belt. His two footedness, balance / low centre of gravity, coupled with incredible acceleration from a standing start, make him perfect for the LWF position.

He's only useful if you are going to spoil the game and knock it long for him to scrap for

Hence he was probably one of our better players from the point we decided we were taking the above approach in the EL

Just hope with Frank steering the Tottenham “train”ing we don’t get as many Hamstring injuries and the likes of vdV, Oderbert & whoever else got one last season manages more game time. It does look like we’re building a better squad at present (defensively anyway), which given the amount of goals we conceded last season seems a better platform.

At the moment, the jury is out on him. The only time I’ve ever seen him play with real confidence and dynamism is age group football for France. In the PL he looks timid and a bit lightweight so far.

He’s still young and hopefully there’s more to come, but I don’t think anyone can be sure he’ll make an impact this year.
