Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We must’ve withdrawn our bid for MGW as it’s clearly going nowhere currently.

Either we’ve been scared into pulling out or we’re revisiting later in the window. But if the player isn’t kicking up a fuss and happy to play along then he can’t be that desperate to move either at the moment.

Patience, all good things come to those who wait.

He will be in a Spurs shirt come the start of the season.

He’s so young he doesn’t have a set position

He’s a freak - I wouldn’t be against trying him elsewhere. I honestly think he’s a far bigger goal threat than Solanke…. Could be a 9?!!!

Let's just play him in his natural position, and by a midfielder of quality instead.

Some in here are making it sound like they are picking a Sunday morning pub team starting eleven.

Micky scored a screamer last season from outside the box, but no one in here wanted to drop Solanke for him.

Just fuck this off now.

Xavi Simons is right there and his club actually want to sell him. Go and make a statement that backs up your claim that we want to win the PL and CL.

Why?

You impatience boarders on immaturity.

Modric, Carrick, Keane, Sheringham, Bale and Berbatov all trained up to the point of a bid being accepted.

It's known as being professional, besides it's pre-season training not the January transfer window.

I think people are too rigid in their thinking when it comes to CBs anyway, modern managers love marauding CBs who contribute to attacking phases of play, because so many teams now deploy a system of man-to-man marking it's almost impossible to track a centre back charging 50 yards up the pitch to make himself available from a cross or act as a makeshift battering ram to break the defensive line and play in a wide player or striker for a chance, I'm actually very excited that he is close enough in age to Van de Ven that we might get to see that partnership down the line, I think VDV's ability to defend a large zone without support coupled with Vuskovic's seeming flair for getting past the halfway line and causing chaos, coupled with the fact they are both physical specimens at 6"4 with the frame to match, I think it's destined to be a match made in heaven provided Vuskovic can adapt to the PL.

Yeh I don’t think it means much him still training and playing. I would be more worried if he downed tools, would show potentially a bad character.

Another massive transfer for Liverpool

Pure coincidence that they haven’t struggled with any legal shit and crazy owners. I don’t understand how they can do it? They don’t even have petro state owners, this isn’t meant to be possible

They do it because the selling team ends up making a ton of money.

The haven't brought any player with a release clause this Summer have they?

Henry just got rid of a $345 million player contract from the Red Sox, this is where the money is coming from.

It took almost six weeks for United to negotiate the contract for Mbeumo, and this proves how difficult some contracts can be.

It’s just a coincidence that they’ve managed to get several huge deals done.

You know why.... Marinakis is pulling a stunt to try and prevent him from leaving (or simply save face).

Prev. poster is right. You're just being a baby about.

Still holding out and hoping it will happen is being a baby and refusing to accept the reality of another persons behavior

If they want to act like that, be the adult in the situation and walk away. It’s not like there aren’t other options out there.

60m is probably an overpay for MGW anyway.

At the moment, the jury is out on him. The only time I’ve ever seen him play with real confidence and dynamism is age group football for France. In the PL he looks timid and a bit lightweight so far.

He’s still young and hopefully there’s more to come, but I don’t think anyone can be sure he’ll make an impact this year.

Had some very confident games in the PL as well last year. Forest away was one.

Needs to be more consistent and bullish
