You said the above which is correct but you've misunderstood what I was initially saying.
We don't sign 2 first team starters with a big transfer fee and big wages. When it looked like it finally happened it was believed we had investment such is the rarity of us doing it.
We hear that shit virtually every summer (just like the annual "Spurs must sell before they can afford to buy" story from The Athletic)...... Even most so-called journo's are just glorified click merchants these days.
