So we buy no one else
What would or wouldn’t be the consequences of that decision
Only time would tell, but with the likes of Newcastle, Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford, Forest, not sure about Villa?, losing some of their better players and as yet not replaced them with better or alike, plus us at last having a proper taction in charge.
With the squad we have we MIGHT be in contention for a top 6 spot and a half decent domestic cup run?

I think under Enic and in TF's first season this is realistic!

So, we are going to wait it out until Bayern get desperate enough to give him to us on loan?

Or best case scenario, we are trying in the background to get a player who can pass the ball to play CM and Pauline is our back up plan

It wouldn't even remotely surprise me if the media have jumped onto our 5th choice option that is being leak being his agent to try and get some interest or a new contract.

As ever for the last 3 windows at least, the media are very rarely, if ever, ITK with who we actually move for.

They've not actually signed Gyokeres yet, but they've spent weeks fannying about not activating what is quite a low asking price for him really.

Do you honestly think they "have already moved on to Eze" ? They've been "moving for Eze" since May.

You can't push that as if it is progress and ignore the fact that we've already had Kudus weeks ago and, in the same terms, have already moved onto MGW and Palhinha if you read and take the same sources as true.
Yeh cheers for that Daniel.

We've signed Kudus to improve on the first 11 from a 17th placed finish team last season.

They've brought in Gyokeres, Zubimendi and will more then likely close on Eze to improve on the first 11 from a 2nd placed finish team last season.

Did you just say "we've already had Kudus weeks ago" as if we are meant to celebrate this? is that a moral victory for you?

Do we know who actually is for sale?

Apart from Son who I think will defo be off after the tour we haven't heard much about who is on the out list.

We sold Keely for £1m and Devine will probably go for around £5m

The rest: Solomon, Gil, Richy, Biss?
I would presume your right Dan on the possible departures.
Maybe a couple of youngsters out on loan?
It's a tough one, definitely need incoming and strengthening but also need spaces in the squad to allow it.

it's another pathetic window so far IMO. I think Kudus is a good buy, but he is the only player that walks into the first team. I haven't seen anything from Tel to say he will be a first team player. Some people suggest he is Son's replacement! Both purchases were based on opportunity, not who was the best player available. Paulina also stinks of Levy finding a deal rather than the best option. Chelsea or Woolwich would be going all out to get Wharton if that's what they needed.

Once again we are cutting corners when our rivals (well, our rivals when we were a top 6 side) push on. The gap is getting wider and wider.

Our failings are magnified when look at Woolwich showing the sort of ambition we can only dream of. You can call it bed wetting but we should expect much more from our club this summer . We have CL football and the shiny new stadium with all the concerts and events Levy could dream of, and we are still shopping like a mid-table side.

We let Poch's side rot because we were told we would reach the promised land. But the reality is more of the same shit.

Only we haven’t moved on to MGW have we?

Other than a few bullshit tweets, he’s Forest player acting exactly like a Forest player.

Yet if Woolwich had signed him, I'm sure you'd write it on a banner and wave it around as progress

"Our rivals being proactive and have already signed Kudus while we dither thinking about signing Eze"

We owe something like £330m in transfers, a lot of it this summer apparently (I'm surprised Levy got us into that mess).

The club probably see things as:

- we finished 17th last season because we were managed poorly. The players aren't the problem.

- we've got a new manager renowned for being very adaptable and getting the best out of young players

- to him, he's got a brand new squad

- let's have a quiet window, try and balance the books and go again next year (lol)

Makes me sick though.
Don't think they can allow themselves to just sit still.
Good coaching is important obviously, but the squad needs better quality adding to it.
Already, the likes of pool, city, Woolwich and Chelsea are, way in front of us, finishing mid table this year will leave us too far behind to close that gap.
If the club has mis managed finances that's odd first levy and, their problem to resolve if that is the case.

You're really not ok are you????

Ok forget Eze as that's what your primary focus is on completley missing the point. They have signed 2 players to improve a first 11 that finished 2nd. We have signed 1 player to improve on a first 11 that finished 17th.

The math aint mathing.

It definitely does smack of the players agent and probably even Bayern who are desperate to get shot of him.

The media haven’t got a clue, I agree. They’ve been chatting absolute shit about this imaginary MGW transfer for nearly 2 weeks now

1) Our players mostly sell for peanuts, we barely get a transfer fee over 15m for most. This shows what poor investments they were in the first place AND very poor timing on choosing to sell them (same old get a new manager and say they will come good and be brilliant all of a sudden). Poor investments

2) It's true we owe alot in transfer fees built up over the last few years. Yet if you look at what we have to show for it compared to other teams that spend roughly the same, it makes for very bad reading. I think only united surpass us on that front. Again poor investments.

3) You look at how heavily loaded our team is towards younger inexperienced players. There is ALOT of potential but to compete against the teams we are expecting to as fans considering the sums spent with such inexperience again. If we had these same youngsters playimg alonside 4 or 5 top top pros of high standard and experience then fine but we dont. Instead we have son who is half the player he used to be, maddison who cant stay in the pitch and just spends his time bantering, romero who wants out and bissouma who spends his time dancing around and cant concentrate. Solanke is probably the only one imo. This imo Is poor squad management and poor investment.

4) This summer just like other clubs we will be commiting to spending more money we will have to pay back in future and it seems things will still trend in the same direction. It was clear as day that this team was in desperate need of probably 3 top pros to combine with the young talent we have. Kudus il give despite not being a huge fan but who else? This was the summer to spend 200m on 3 players maximum, all players that walk into the starting 11.

I do not dispute the amount of spending the owners of this club make these days but the way they do is the biggest waste of time. They are simply investors treating footballers the same way looking for undervalued player, players out of favour, end of contracts blah blah.
This is exactly as I would look at the stockmarket or pension funds! Spreading the money pot nice and thinly to minimize risk but this is useless in football, and you won't compete like this. The best and biggest assets cost more per unit and you trust you scouting team and judgement to know they will be successful and they largely will as they are mid 20's, shown it, proven it, won it all before.

I think anybody who really wants the owners out and argues it needs to re adjust their stance. It's true that its no longer about spending enough to compete and instead its about making terrible financial decisions and investments in the team. The focus should be on what we waste, and the owners not having a clue what they are doing. Forget the not spending as we do, and anybody that uses that is easy to pat down by the levy lovers.

Rant over, have a lovely day

Peace Out Goodbye GIF

Didn’t you just question one of those “major” news outlets in a post about a different player?

So you picking and choosing what is and isn’t bullshit to suit yourself?

Have no idea what you're talking about so you'll have to sign post it instead of vague references.

For what it is worth, we aren't talking about a link to a player - we're talking about Forest making legal threats and complaints and it being reported everyone - not tweets

edit here: How are you deflecting this with a straight face even? If you've gone full flat-earth on MGW, you have no credibility suggesting any tweet is remotely true

The math aint mathing.

We have brought in 3 new players to improve on a first 11 that have just won the UEFA/Europa.

Something Woolwich have never done.

You seem to really like Woolwich
