Wouldn't surprise me if he was a Gooner, and we have the same public humiliation we had with Gallagher declaring his love for Chelsea and that he could NEVER EVER play for Spurs!

Funny that... There's not many clubs outside of Rangers/Celtic you ever hear that said about ... and that's only 'cos it's deeply sectarian!

City/Utd (a little), Liverpool/Everton Sunderland/Newcastle, but on the whole, they certainly don't seem to have the same hatred from SO MANY other clubs that aren't their direct rivals....

And yet here we are, Mate!

Yeah I knew this one was dead once Forest cut all contact with Spurs. Couldn't believe I kept hearing people say "it will happen", "it's 99% done" even though he was still playing for Forest in pre-season lol. The only scenarios were new contract or another club came in for him.

But it's me who is the idiot because I still refreshed this thread constantly, listened to Simon Jordan's every word on the matter, and believed a guy called Himothy. Despite being let down by Levy and his merry band of clowns in every single summer window . I should learn by now.

This is utterly amateur hour stuff. Ud have thought if they knew in advance they would have another top player lined up to lessen the blow.
But no, we have to feel it full wack in the face as per usual.

Il say it a million times over but the ownership don't have a clue, its grown too big and at this point all they do is waste hundreds of millions of pounds.
I expect we will move onto Gallagher now.

Vast majority of fans looked at this summer and thought it was quite clear whatcwas needed. Go get 3 players who undoubtedly walk into our first 11 and are established, in there prime or close to it and job done.

But no, these puppets can't manage that. Now we lost out on mgw we will spend on a load of trash.

Player 'persuaded' to sign a new contract until 2028 - yes that short a contract.

Reason the contract is that short is very likely he's now on a huge salary, probably £20m pa,+ maybe £30m (who knows) but way more than anyone in their right minds would pay him.

But that ensures he stays at Notts Forest for at least one more season - when Forest may well still be able to sell him for £60m or even £80m (uplift if he plays ell in CL).

So Forest do not lose financially at all as they get their £60m or £80m transfer fee - and keep him for at least one season when in CL when they can afford to over pay him.... and maybe he takes Notts Forest past CL league stage (worth an extra £10m maybe £20m by itself).


No way can anyone else both pay Forest £60m for him and put him on £20m or £30m pa salary for a 5 year contract.

There are question marks over the player and agent integrity ....... but club owner has a reputation (not proven in court) for 'persuading reluctant people' so maybe that took place too.
