Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Baleba and Mitoma would go a long way to sorting us out. Ready made players who you know would most likely hit the ground running.

Yes they'd cost a bomb, but when you really want to improve your first eleven, in positions badly needed, that's what you have to do.

You just never, ever, get the feeling we'd be prepared to fully commit to sorting out our issues and really going for it .

And until that changes we simply won't change in a significant way.
Spot on. And by the way, even if we spend 150m on Baleba and Mitoma, we’d have still spent significantly less than the top 4.

If we got this guy and went crazy for the #6 like a Baleba level player, I think the summer would have been salvageable. Although, I’m not sure you can play El Khannouss in the 8 like MGW and I’m not sure Baleba adds much passing from #6.

We’re not spending 90m on Baleba or Wharton. At this point just get players who have skills that we don’t have.
Would settle for:

Kudus 55m
El Khannouss 25m
Lamine Camara 35m
A good young LB - Tom Rothe from Union Berlin looks good on the datasets.

El Khannouss and Camara give us passing progression.
Kudus and El Khannouss give us dribbling.
Kudus and Camara give us physicality.

It’s not enough to bridge the gap to the top sides by itself, but it gives us a fairly well balanced squad and we have to hopeThat Frank can develop the younger players fairly quickly.

Honestly, yeah that is probably the best we could hope for.

We will get Paulinha on loan and Harvey Elliot for way too much money though

It's like me asking Ashton Kutcher if I can chat Mila Kunis up.

Go ahead, pal...see what she says.
He probably has some chloroform you can try if you ask him really nicely.

I think people are calling gray out waaay to soon.
If you go back to the start of last season and watch how technically good he was, footwork in tight situations, winning tackles, winimg duels(yes at fullback) you can see he has it. The end of the season run outs he was clearly not match sharp and the team was a mess

It doesn't take much with these talented young players for it to click and quite often when they do and things snowball quickly.
Hes got his head screwed on, works hard and is the type of player to really crack on and keep at it until its right. In this sense he is completely different to somebody like say bissouma who's whole entire life is one big freestyle.
In the last pre season game (his first outing under frank btw) he was paired with bissouma and it was all wrong. They were looking for the same spaces, moving into the same spaces and it was a mess with zero connection with one another.

I wouldn't want him starting every minute of every game but he's my pick for this season in terms of development, closely followed by tel, then odobert.
Im not a fan of the paulinha links but putting myself in Frank's shoes I can see why we're interested. Somebody in our squad he can watch and learn from is the best way to help him develop. Gray is not as far away as people think.

Mcatee from City could be useful. I know people might say he does not score enough but Cole Palmer only made about 19 appearances for City (not all starts) without a goal. It’s the Pep grounding.

What a miserable lot you are

I mean FFS what are your everyday lives like?

Every player Spurs have currently is shit, every player the journos link us with are shit or unattainable

Spurs fuck this up, fuck that up, Levy this, Lange that

Thank fuck you lot aren’t in charge of this Club

If you are so miserable then don’t support the Club
You’ll probably get pushback but you are 100% right. People online are addicted to misery. They’re ether very unfulfilled people or the internet brings out the worst in them.

If we were a big club with the season we just had, we would buy wharton, rodrygo and simons. As a fucking statement. As much a kick up the ass to our squad (who should be embarrassed by last season’s domestic form) as a statement to everyone else in the game

Doubt anyone could be as much of a cunt as super chav (MASSIVE CUNT)

I wish for a better comparison but he literally reminds me so much of Terry in how he plays I couldn't think past him, the guy scored bags of goals for a CB and if Vuskovic is as good I'll be tickled pink, much as I find him a repulsive shitbag of a human being (Terry that is).

Lo Celso - August 2019
Sessegnon - August 2019
Reguilon - September 2020
Solanke - August 2024

:mourwhat:
Username checks out.
Solanke 10th August, Lo Celso 14th, Sessegnon 8th, the transfer window was delayed for the Reguilon signing and closed on October 5th, as far as I'm concerned with Daniel Levy's Spurs having the player in before the first game of the season is an early window purchase. Yes that speaks more to the inadequacies of our board/chairman than anything but this isn't the "gotcha" you think it is.
