Haha!!

Why is there such bad feeling between Aberdeen and Rangers? Does it go back to Fergie?

havent heard that there's similar between AFC and Celtic
It’s because they are cunts.
bloody hell, I've just read his roll call of shame. 20 red cards and some absolutely terrible behaviour.

I can't see why Rangers wouldve sold him unless they'd had enough of his behaviour. He'd just scored 2 in the CWC final FFS in a 3-2 win.

He moved to WBA who were absolute shite at the time and immediately got relegated. Youd have thought that far bigger clubs wouldve been wanting to buy him, but they must have been deterred by the baggage.

Before becoming a pro with Rangers he was a miner. Can think of several Scottish players who started down the mines. Jock Stein for one.
Also, he was sent home from World Cup 78 for failing a drugs test. Junkie.

As a Celtic and Spurs fan, I am disappointed Celtic never tried to get Moore in, especially as they need a winger or two,
I will be as even handed about Rangers as I can be.

The problem with Rangers, apart from the obvious, they have done well for a 13 year old new club....is that they are in the middle of a big rebuild......they have little money and employ a scattergun approach to recruiting players, mainly mid level championship standard. They have many wingers and linked with more, but if he goes I there Russell Martin will probably have been told Moore is to be guaranteed games.
There will be at least 55-60 games a season so he could get 30 odd games if he is not kicked off the park.
They have been a seriously bad team over the past few seasons , ....dont be fooled by what you saw v Spurs, but looks like they will be more attacking under Martin. Their central strikers are average at best, so the 10 assist and 10 goals a season target is a bit ambitious maybe.
Celtic have no ambition and are sitting on piles of money (by Scottish standards) and bidding ridiculously low sums for players that they need, so if there is a league challenge by Rangers, it will be down to the ineptitude of the Celtic board ....Rogers will leave at the end of the season.
The general standard in Scotland is not great, I have watched a fair bit of Dorrington and he does not look great, which is a worry, but he has time.

I mean everything you've said pretty much corroborates what I've said, I'd rate Celtic as a relegation battler in PL, Rangers in the promotion convo in championship, the likes of Hibs, Aberdeen, Dundee Utd would probably stay up in the Champo, certainly if clubs like Rotherham and Oxford United are capable of surviving a championship season as both have in recent years any of those three would be in with a shout of it, and the top 6 play 4 fixtures against each other, so a good number of the games he's going to be playing in the Scottish league will be at championship standard. If Rangers make the group stages of EL he will play better teams than he could possibly play against on loan at a championship club also, so I rate this as equal or slightly better than a champo loan tbh.
Generally agree.

Celtic are decent at home. I'd say bottom third of PL (like us!), to top third of Champo. Rangers mid Champo.

The rest are arguably more Champo - League One yo-yo material.

I quite like the fact he wants to go to Rangers. Whatever you think of the SPL it’s a higher profile than most Championship clubs and it’s in a foreign country.

Playing abroad will be a good learning experience for him.

He played a season at Aberdeen and scored a screamer of a free kick against the blue bigots.

I get that, but it’s hardly the rough and tumble of street football. But, you may be correct and he’ll glide through without a scratch. I think hes going to get FUBAR.
Don't think I said glide through without a scratch. Just think you're missing the point that playing in London he will have played some of the fastest, strongest, and technically best kids in the UK on a regular basis.

No, you didn’t. And I do get he’s played at the highest level for his age group for years now.

Let’s see how he gets on the first time Nicky Devlin hits him like a large van. Has to catch him first I suppose.

I'm sure they weren't very nice. Didn't he have to pay Durrant compensation or something?

Durrant could have easily starred at the very highest levels if not for the injury IMO.
Can’t recall a compensation, but possible.

Durrant was an excellent player - grudging respect for an unwashed Hun.

Simmie spent years at Aberdeen behind the scenes. Now in procurement for a local engineering company. Doesn’t like to talk about the “tackle”.

Hard to be positive about the loan tbh, mainly because I can't remember the last player to go on loan and comeback ready. Hope Moore doesn't become the new Troy Parrot.

Really hope he just goes there and takes off and becomes the best player in that league! Unfortunately anything less than that probably means we'll be loaning him out again next season and the Troy Parrot cycle begins.

theres still lots of time for TP. Strikers these days often don't reach a peak till late 20's. The game is very different from when Owen at 18 with great pace and nothing between his ears was the new big thing
yeah i didn't mean it as a dig at Troy Parrot. I'm just using it as an example of how Moore really needs to break into our first team in the next 2/3 years or it will never happen. Time waits for no man. Hopefully he goes up a gear this year and comes back ready.
