ENIC In or ENIC Out

We have high borrowings and no cash in the club to spend that sort of money. There is also probably clauses in the loan agreements preventing higher borrowings or the loans go in default and we have to borrow at much higher interest rates. The only way we can do so if either ENIC or someone else invests money in the club. ENIC either do not have enough money outside the club to invest or do not want to. That leaves either a minority investor putting money in but not getting any control or an investor buying ENIC out. I favour the latter but in the meantime PSR is irrelevant to us.
You don't know the detail on those do you? If you do, pls post it here

I hear Simon Jordan bang on about banking covenants, without any detail. The loans are at very low rates. And we have an exceptionally secure base level of revenue. I cannot accept the "we have no room for manouvre/ we're maxed out" argument just because Simon Jordan says so ...

I actually thought this was a joke but it's true... it's clear why we are not signing players... too busy selling shirt real estate to any fucker who will cough up a few quid.
Behave yourself.

You really think Lange and Levy are responsible for a shirt sleeve sponsorship deal?

There are numerous reasons for us not signing anyone, but spending their time discussing a deal with a pet food company is certainly not one of them.

And right on cue Number 3 emerges from under his rock

I do love all this talk of 'emerging from under rocks' etc when a few posters go quiet for a couple of days (perhaps some of them simply because this place is made absolutely toxic by people like you whenever something goes wrong) - BUT this coming from a 'fan' who disappears whenever anything GOOD happens, a 'fan' who went quiet for ages after we won the EL because he couldn't bear to see happy fans enjoying a happy moment of the club's success. The lack of self-awareness is incredible.

(PS btw I'm not sure if I'm number 3 or number 4? 😂 )

Already judging by the reactions to this, there’ll be plenty on here taking the piss out of sponsorship deals, etc. Then in the same breath it’ll be “how can Man Utd spend so much money when we beat them all the time?”.

Newsflash - it’s due to deals like this.
100% true.

However it is also true that the brilliant revenue generation executives having too much oversight and input into football matters is what turned Man Utd from the dynastic superpower of the league into the joke they are now.

We must drive him out of this club.

We MUST.

Right out.

No role whatsoever.

And no one mention his putrid name thereafter.

Erase that vile little cunt from our history.

Disgusting bastard.

Clean out the stink and sterilize everything.

He is a stain and a curse and a rot.

And he HAS TO GO.

Putrid.

No of course I do not know the details as that would be private. However I do know that for large loans to Businesses that the Banks will impose clauses to secure their lending. One of the most usual is a restriction on debt. They will not stop investment. I can recall that when the club’s accounts were posted by someone on here that the amount owing to other clubs for transfers had shot up. This leaves little room to continue to keep buying players on instalments. Since the last accounts were published we have bought more players last summer and in the winter and Kudus. We would not have paid all of that out of income and a lot will be still owing.
Everton have sold their Women’s team to another company owned by the same owners. That has put money into the club but the cash came from the owners. For us to do the same either ENIC or some other investor would have to put up the money.

Is this the widest margin this vote has ever been at?

Interesting too is that this thread was start 12 years ago. Before the new stadium even started building work and promises were made of how we were going to compete with the big boys when it was.
Here we are, 6 years after it opened. Still as financially prudent as ever, spending more time working on income than ever before.

Maybe some of the 61 who voted early on might want to consider changing?
Wonder also how many of them haven't been on here for years and would change if they did come back?
