It wouldn't have mattered had Ange had Ngolo Kante prime Ffs. The asinine set up is unplayable in the EPL the holes and how to exploit them are visible from space. Deary me that Europa doing so much heavy lifting in the minds of the deniers. The trophy he won by abandoning every nonsense he'd forced on the team for 2 years. Mug got himself fired no personell change fixes that cluster fuck.
 
Im looking forward to the last minute Palhinha screamer against Bayern this season. If there isnt a clause which allows him to play.

The system was crap. Yet despite himself; Ange would still have been better off with a propr consistent DM compared to B&B turning up for 1 or 2 in 10 games.

BM bought him for tuchel, fell through last minute and made a promise to him/fulham next window. Sacked tuchel, kept their promisw and kompany has no need for that type of player.

Conte's first choice was Bastoni. The back up was Lenglet, another LCB supposedly with good passing skills

I'm really glad we didn't get persuaded to chase Bastoni more than we did, who might have fitted Conte's perfect line up up but didn't want to leave Italy ((wife's visa issues) hence joining Inter.

Conte only joined Spurs for money after he got scammed over a large investment - with Spurs pay rates and making Levy fire him, and he had the cash he needed, And a way back to lower paying Italy without money problems. And his wife never moved to London nor did Conte want a permanent house here either - all signs he wasn't here for the long term whoever we bought for him .
 
Only thing to worry about with Palhinha is his yellow and/or red cards - 13 yellow cards in 33 Premier League appearances during his final season at Fulham, averaging 1.6 fouls per game – but also a whopping 4.6 tackles every 90 minutes.

Goes with the territory of a DM, but he's probably more allergic to cards than most ?
 
Fills a role, will allow the other midfielders (almost all of which are more natural 8s) to slide into a more comfortable position. I think this is sensible low risk business, but this cannot be the end of it.
