I’m the first to agree that Solanke needs to score more, but I think he will this season.

Recall an interview with Ollie Watckins where he said he improved after Frank told him to stop running himself into the ground and just stay between the posts.

Maybe a similar conversation has happened with Dom?

I understand, you are correct.

Levy and ENIC couldn't give a hoot. They will keep on with there project to maximise the value of their asset as thats what its all about right?
Do people, even the enic/levy fans dispute that?
Yes things like the hotels ect will increase revenue (few million a year) but its all about that overall number of the club being worth billions and billions.
We will not win with there model.

Before long it will be the year 2050 and spurs will be the richest clubs in the world world with the biggest revenue and the talk will still be whether we can get top 4, or nab a wee trophy sometime.

It will never pay off under these guys and so I think its right people speak up, try and influence others and raise the level of discontent for the ownership.

And if frank fails on his targets and mission due to not being given the right tools for the job I will pray that levy gets hounded out the stadium to the point where he no longer feels welcome.

I like to think the ownership poll on this site speaks volumes.

Yes, they are investors looking for a return on investment. But, some how, they can't seem to understand that a truly competitive team will be more appealing to a prospective buyer. Special cunts they are; truly special!

There is no such thing as a Levy / ENIC fan. Maybe their own family, but certainly nobody on here. We are all Spurs fans only. Including the posters called out earlier in this thread.

I agree they will hold on until they get their top dollar price. Not really weird behaviour for an investment company.

And speak up as much as you like. Just know you will never change anything by doing so. No poster will think “hmmm, that complete fucking stranger speaks sense, I’m going to change my entire attitude towards the owners on his say so”. More likely people will get bored of your schtick and you’ll end up ignored, a figure of fun, or be known for having an agenda.

But none of that is a reason for these people to suddenly be happy, put up with it and shut up.

By virtue of the results of the poll you are bound to have far more posters that are negative and disgruntled about the ownership and that will show through the tone of there posts.

There will indeed be more and more people agreeing with said people. Especially the longer it goes on for.

As for the trophy, it was incredible and as a 37 year old ive not been lucky enough to see many, in fact I remember only 2. But let's remember that was achieved through having a manager that had the balls to prioritise that tournament completely. I say that as someone who wanted ange out. Secondly we probably did benefit from the restructuring of the tournament and not having cl teams drop in.

Im not taking anything away from the achievement, just stating the facts. It was glorious and I will never forget those moments.

You can’t start with “totally agree” and have “but” as your next gambit.

And you can’t say “we’ll never win anything with this model”, when we have, and then claim to be “stating the facts”.

As I said, if you or anyone else wants to bang on constantly about how much they hate the horrible bald man, crack on. Free country and all that. I generally just end up ignoring most of those who do this, but that shouldn’t be an issue. My point is that constantly baby whining on here is not, has never been and will never be, anything close to “calling out the club”.

Son wasnt Son when we signed him. People were on him after his first season and there was talk of him leaving.

That doesn’t mean every signings will become Son but it does mean players need more patience than the average online fan will give them.

Spurs does not make me miserable , even condescending French people can’t do that .
You mistake a loathing of ENIC for misery , I partied very hard for a man of my age in Bilbao .
Now if you knew as much as you think you do , ( which is way more than you actually do ) you would not call people who think Levy is crap glory hunters . Although falling short we had a history of throwing the bat and having a real go . Gazza was signed for a British record as was Greaves . The signings of Ossie and Villa were groundbreaking . We had a go , yes we even got relegated but the club had ambition until Sugar ( who signed Klinsman a player who dwarfs every Levy signing over 25 years )

I am more than capable of seeing a disingenuous club owner for what he is without being a glory hunter . Furthermore I don’t need to be standing on terrace overlooking a vineyard to do it .

Ironically I’m in Provence right now and it shows one can be in France without being obnoxious , you just can’t be French and do it judging by your post .

I must admit, I wasn't taken in by Mr. Son; not in the least. But, did he prove me wrong! Now a days, I reserve my judgement on younger players like. But I also understand that we need experienced players too. Some of us just shit on young players to make that point. At the end of the day, it's just differing opinions.

I like to think of it like we're all on a spectrum of Levy hate; some of us are at zero; others are at minus infinity; but most of us are inbetween :paraticiwink:

You mention “having a go” and making some record signings 37 and 64 years ago.

Gascoigne was a marvellous player (but we’ve had MANY in the past 15 years…) but how did the team perform then?

We finished 6th, 3rd, 10th, 15th.

We won one FA Cup.

Those are the glory days when you were so happy to be a spurs fan?

Greaves was a magical time but we’re talking over 60 years ago.

Just like the MAGA lot, you are pining for a time that never existed. MTGA crew.
