Ex-Spurs Player Heung-Min Son (손흥민)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

In fairness not everyone uses social media to the same level. I don't use anything other than this and YouTube, Kane might use his social media sporadically. He could have sent Sonny the best private text message. Not everything has to be trotted out for the public to pore over like emotional porn.
I knew someone will come up with this justification. My point is not to bash Kane or you. But clearly if you look at his Instagram now, it's obvious he uses it more than sporadically, especially so in promoting Bayern Munich to such an extent in his posts since he moved there that I really think it's a shame he couldn't hold more regards of us in his life in his social media image - never had been, never ongoing to be in liking or supporting of our posts, never will be in the future I reckoned. His family vacation was all on his family donning in BM jerseys lol.

And I mentioned Aurier paying tribute to Son, because he truly is the one using his Instagram rarely. He only has 12 posts in total.

No, he wanted guaranteed trophies and a shot at the CL and Balon D’Or and he wasn’t getting that here.

Must be an arse fan.

I'm joking

A quick look at Kanes facebook and twitter feeds show he hardly posts anything meaningful.
I'm sure he will be asked about Son seeing as we play Bayern in a few days and he'll say something nice.

He comes across as a less emotional person than Son though. I get it, I'm the same. Not all of us have the words so we say very little instead.
Kane’s a much more guarded person I think because of the mockery he got early doors - one season wonder, he talks funny, etc, etc. I think he decided keep his emotions in check and be more businesslike.

He’ll probably be a bit more open when his career’s over and he’s got older and less concerned what people think of him.

My respect levels for both players are night and day. I have ignored Kane's thread the minute he left.
I think Kanes behaviour has been really odd. He seems to have less investment than Lucas Lamel Aurier Llorente any number of players who seem to have a far deeper connection to us. I always got that some of his strength came from single mindedness but it's almost passive aggressive.Weird bloke lost a lot of the affection I once had. It's crazy to think Serge Aurier who had a bumpy time at Spurs feels more obvious warmth for the club/fans than the man whose name was sung endlessly.

Yes, for whatever reason, this has hit really hard, although it was inevitable, and it really is the best time for both player and Club. I just wasn't expecting it to feel so emotional.
Fully agree. Normally I’m not attached to players, I appreciate their skills and am mindful that they all have a shelf life here, depending on their circumstances.

However this has been the first time since Ledley King that I have been legitimately sad at a departure. Before that was Judas (that was more anger and getting ripped by the opps in Primary school). The only 3 players to really tug on my heartstrings.

He very much holds back IMO. Most of what he says is robotic, scripted the lot.

Yeah, I guess that's the thing with statistics, there's multiple ways to interpret them.
A look at the Opta Power ratings though, which really is the most accurate benchmark we have (unless there is another consistent form of analysis), is very interesting.

English Premier league 92.78%
La Liga 86.64%
Serie A 86.52%
Ligue 1 85.97%
Bundesliga 85.79%

According to the ratings, the premier league has overwhelmingly the strongest collection of teams in one single league, making it the most competitive league out of the strongest leagues in Europe.
Coupled with the hectic schedule, lack of mid-season break, it being arguably the most physically combative league, and the competitive balance. It's no surprise that it is widely considered to be the toughest league in the world.

How many years back does it look? Looking at one season could be a one off.

Also, statistical analysis of something like this could be more art than science.

For me, it is simple. Who wins the most at the European level? Top level (UCL) and second tier (EL).

The bottom teams in LaLiga beat the top sides all the time. People act like that only happens in the EPL. Not true.

I find it hilarious that there are people that think the 10th place team in the EPL would finish 3rd in La Liga.

F**king Milesy knows how to wreck an interview, doesn't he?

Sonny comes down the tunnel after the hugely heart-rending send-off he'd just experienced and what is bloody Milesy's first question?...

"Okay Sonny, fair to say that was errr emotional."

Jesus wept!!!!

I'm pretty sure Kane was bought just as much for the eyeballs as the talent. His £100m valuation would have included all the promo shots they could get to stick in the contract. He's probably sick of it by now.

But Kane has always been somewhat austere, focused and committed. The things that made him great. (that goal against woolwich was a rare example of pure joy). He's always going to care, but in his own way. Unless he decides to settle in Germany, I reckon he'll be back here working for the club. Depends on what motivates him, really.

Sonny has always been open, emotional, compassionate and committed. He'll be an ambassador for the club for life.

Just because its not plastered on social media doesnt mean he has not spoken / messaged him personally in private.
That doesn't change the optics at all. In fact that would be weirder. I mean let's say you are correct. Then that means it's about the club that he is holding some emnity. But the fans who worshipped him ARE the club not Daniel fucking Levy. Is he not bright enough to see the distinction.
