But apart from that17th in the league last season and we've brought in Kudus (good), a 30 year old on loan, a totally unproven Japanese centre back and Tel who was shit for us season.
We just lost our sole creative outlet to an ACL injury for the entire season (even if he comes back, his body is done). Solanke is fucked/not shown that he is anywhere good enough. Richarlison is always fucked and when he isn't fucked, he can't score. Johnson is an abysmal footballer, anyone who talks about his goals/assists can suck my ass.
We have an atrocious squad of players, nowhere near the required level and we haven't improved.
The cunt has two weeks. If he doesn't make an effort in the transfer window then I can't be fucked to waste my time following the club this season. I'd rather spend my time going outside or learning how to read.
Try Rupert miller on X

I think ENIC don't want to or can't finance buying a proper team. We've also spent a lot of money poorly and none of the forwards people dislike are willing to leave the club. As such, ENIC are hoping to get together a good group of young players a la Poch and Jol. That's both realistic and risks us turning back fully into the team they inherited from Sugar.Last Summer there was a noticeable drop off in effort from the board, which culminated in an uncooked squad and a 17th place finish. I personally felt Ange was flawed but there was a complete abandonment of that project. Focus noticeably shifted towards aggressively reducing the wage bill by bringing in younger players.
Now, I have no doubt that the league season was way more of a disaster than anyone at the club could have predicted, they probably thought we could limp through the season and 8th would be a worst case scenario, arrogant and unrealistic about our squads ability.
This Summer seems to be a continuation of that.
The empty seats will no doubt become reality now Son has left. I expect Levy will be briefing Frank to fast track the Japanese kid in to the team to fill the void.Levy has pretty much written this season off due to a total lack of ambition. Frank will (have to) play boring, hard to beat football in the same way Nuno did. The key thing is we don’t have enough really good players and our squad is weak. The fans will be singing ‘’Levy out” before the end of the first home game, and deservedly so. How long until we start seeing blocks of empty seats?

I would definitely expect an even bigger influx of away supporters infiltrating the home sections next season.

The last point is disgraceful. They flogged memberships for a discount rate of £25 after Xmas to anyone, which enabled away fans to infiltrate. Better off giving away fans a bigger allocation of say 8k togetherThe empty seats will no doubt become reality now Son has left. Crowd fund enough to buy a significant stake seems more achievable
Will take a lot more than that. They value the stadium at 2 billion alone going by that interview.
I know it’s not the done thing on here, but I change my mind regularly about the owners.
Winning the Europa? In.
Sacking the manager? A bit less in, but hanging on.
Another thing that’s not done that often here is understanding nuance in the situation. I get that we have increased our transfer spend by a huge amount.
I get that we also have a lot of (manageable) debt, which may be a reason why we aren’t plunging even more into new players.
I get that we have a new manager and may want him to prove himself before handing him a bulging wallet.
I also don’t particularly subscribe to the low wage ratio argument, as it’s primarily bollocks (fuck the ratio - we should be spending what the larger clubs are spending on wages as a £ note figure, doesn’t really matter if that’s 10% of our revenue or 50% of our revenue, we should be paying good players what they are worth.
What is unforgivable for me is that we seem incapable of shifting the shite players that we have just hanging around the place, as this seems to be a major reason why we can’t build an effective squad. How can other teams get their dreck out the door for multi millions and we’ve not done it since Bergwijn or Wimmer? Any strategically shaved chimp can see that we need major outgoings and incomings, as we are miles off where we should be with the strength of the squad. Because, presently, it’s stacked full of piss-weak wasters.
The structure we haves in place, be it Levy, Lange, Paratici, whoever, isn’t working and needs changing. Yet again. And the fact it needs changed again means the fault lies at the feet of Levy unfortunately. Time to move on.
Regarding getting rid of players , we do hear that they want to fight for their place , serious clubs , that’s not an option . You should be told you’re either off or you’re not playing .
I think theirs is a mentality at the club of getting too comfortable & as generally the squad is not good enough there’s nothing kick players up the arse.
Biss , Richie and a few others should be told they’re moving on not asked what their opinion is
No more Son so probably quite soon.Levy has pretty much written this season off due to a total lack of ambition. Frank will (have to) play boring, hard to beat football in the same way Nuno did. He’s moaning about other clubs spending, but they are spending precisely because they then get huge money from being regulars in CL and now this expanded CWC. Speculate to accumulate is not a concept he applies to the football team. Just property.
I don't think it's this, at all. It's simply that Frank was brought here to improve the squad full of young players with potential that we've already bought.I get that we have a new manager and may want him to prove himself before handing him a bulging wallet.
