Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Atalanta probably wouldn't sell, especially amid their Lookman situation, and he kinda seems like the sort of wispy player who might not work in the PL, but I feel like if we're casting about for a classy 10, Charles De Ketelaere's name ought to be said in this thread.

You could play him as a Havertz-esque false 9 too.

Used to bang the drum for him to replace Kane for that exact reason

Its to do with paying a lot of the 60 million straight up for Eze.

We,'re that desperate now we're obviously contemplating doing it.

So we were in a position all along to do it but chose not to.

Hasn’t his release clause now expired. We’d have to get Palace to agree to selling him which means closer to £80m now. In fact I am pretty sure that (a) Palace will not sell him now and he’s off to Woolwich next summer, and (b) even if we make Palace an offer they cannot refuse the player won’t want to come anyway as his heart is set on Woolwich next summer.

This window has now - 4 days until we face PSG in the UEFA Super Cup - become so embarrassing that it's Ali's job to say (in the vaguest way possible btw, but sill) that we are interested in signing Eze. Only in the hope that most fans stay calm for the next couple of days.

I think the club would have had to have paid the whole fee in one payment for MGW if he'd not changed his mind, Forest would have demanded it.

Who gives a fuck what's in your "book".

225,000 fans who turned up for the parade would disagree, and if the EL is watered down, is the FA and Caribou Cup now watered down without replays? It certainly put's Spurs on the map, get's a monkey off our back and is a major achievement for the club.

We have seen PL clubs beat the likes of Bristol City, Coventry, Portsmouth and Cardiff on the way to a FA Cup SF, wouldn't that be classed as "watered down" opposition?
“Watered down” is nonsense when you look at the facts anyway. We beat 2 sides that have won the competition in the last decade and we came up against 4 sides that have been in the Europa final in the last 5 years.

Try and find a league or FA cup winner that has had to do that
