Match Super Cup Final - Spurs vs PSG, Weds 13th Aug, 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Gutting in the end obviously but was a fantastic performance.

I'm not criticising anyone.

Everyone thought we'd be spanked and we were the better side for 70/75 mins.

Made me proud tonight. Let's do some sexy bits this season.

COYS!

Their subs worked, ours didn't and it was enough to tip the balance.

Solanke and Tel for Kudus and Richarlison killed us completely

The last 20 minutes was how I thought the game was going to go for the entire 90 so that's a plus.

We also have to admit that as good as we were for the first 70 minutes, PSG were equally bad and way off where they normally are and that tipped the balance in our favour - they did look like a team that had just got off the beach.

Nothing to really be upset about tbh.

We played well, and for the first time in years played with a tactical plan, guts and physicality. They wanted it tonight and it was awesome seeing defenders throw themselves in front of the ball to keep it out.

The only difference is when everyone got tired, PSG could turn to quality and we couldn’t. So much to be positive and proud about tonight, and the only thing it truly highlights is that Frank is capable, but he needs backing with true quality players. Kudus and Richarlison were knackered and had to go off but the replacements weren’t of the same level.

This club could be capable of a lot, but Levy needs to give Frank the tools to do it. Looking forward to the season much much more now.

Bringing on the kid Archie Gray who failed to be where Paulhinha would have been to block Lee's shot was a disaster.
How is Gray at fault for that? Bentancur moved to the sitting role where Palhinha was, Gray was on the left and Sarr on the right at that point. Did you want Gray to leave his position, run halfway across the pitch to block the shot in half a second?

One more thing, not to return to Spursy again, can we please build on and use players proven for the big occasions? We can discuss Johnsons general abilities, but he knows how to score and make vital contributions in the games that matters the most. He has done it several times!

Tel was obviously the wrong call, and with Franks subs and parking the bus strategy in the end, it kind of ruins an else excellent night for Frank.
