Not sure why people care so much about price. Just get them in here asap. Preferably Savinho first. Then maybe throw a cheeky offer at MGW with them adding McAtee. If no, then Eze will do.

Jesus scored 11 PL goals for the scum that first season.

It would take Savinho an entire Steve Perryman career to match that.

It just couldn't be any clearer that City wants to sell this player and that we have all the leverage here.

Daniel Levy in his prime would have paid 30M + Gray
He has finishing ability if his time at Girona is anything to go on, lots of very natural finishes with very good placement into the corner of the goal on several of them, and a few in packed boxes. 10 Assists playing less than half of City's league minutes counts for zero but his goal tally is seemingly the only criteria to judge him on? Akliouche only scored 5 in the shitty French league last season, he must be completely pony as well?
I'm not remotely anti the signing. I think he's really fun and I would enjoy watching him play the same way I have enjoyed watching Kudus play ... I am overwhelmingly pro us signing footballers who do footballer stuff and make us all actually enjoy watching games. Savinho fits in to that category.
I am so there with you on that, for a so called gung-ho attacking manager we were fucking dreadful to watch under Ange and I'd sooner see us give up 10-15% average possession per game to watch the likes of Savinho and Kudus operate in space.

Where are the goals coming from?

When will people start to realise it is said wage structure that allows us to have such huge freedom in the transfer market - reducing our FFP constraints massively.

Villa have a huge wage bill but now cannot spend any money on transfers, despite selling a load of players over the last two years.

Some people really need to educate themselves on this subject, it’s so boring reading the same whiney posts about wages.

Yes huge freedom in the transfer market to waste money on transfer fees for a lot of dross

some people are baffled by the fact that good players playing together create opportunities, they understand football through stat sheets alone.
It's understandable.

People like to idol worship and have a talisman. But some of the most effective teams in history share the wealth.

Take United's treble winners of '99 for example. Had zero players score 30 in all competitions, but had EIGHT different players score 10+.

Chance creators generate much higher xG chances though, much easier to score a tap-in in acres of space with the keeper beat than finding a way to unlock a packed defence by passing it around in a semi-circle ad infinitum.
This is largely moot since the answer to the question of "who's going to score the goals" is "Dominic Solanke", but it is still the case that a possession and creativity dominant team can find itself unable to score goals without a target man, and are especially vulnerable to opponents parking the bus.

What was the game we did that.Someone on here mentioned it beforehand and one of the few games I watched they advanced to the penalty area and then stopped and passed sideways then back. Totally clueless

Can you list those eight players and tell us who our equivalents are that can do the same ?:frankthink:
