Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I do agree but it seems unlikely. Richy seems to have played himself into the manager’s plans. He’ll probably go and get injured in September though and we will be back to square one with him.

If we get a decent offer for him though you never know.

If by some miracle he can stay fit, it’s a great year for Richy to be around because he wants that WC squad.

But it’s honestly a bit crazy that we have sold anyone yet. Except Son that is

First manager to get sacked. Feel for Nuno he seems like a good lad but that owner will fuck it up for him. Least with how he's done there he will get another PL job.
Wonder what MGW is thinking these days
And you can the owner getting Ange to replace him (terrible fit IMO). They've scored ONE goal across all of their (6) pre-season games!

MGW will be sold this season (end) now his release clause has been removed and his "new deal" was only what amounts to a 1 year extension on his existing contract, so hardly a ringing endorsement for committing himself to the Club. I would expect him to play well again this season as his focus will be on getting selected for England at World Cup. But he will 100% be off unless they pull off a Leicester miracle (owner bribes the refs).

Nah

Eze by lunch

Savinho by evening

Daniel Levy windmilling to all the fans from the directors box tomorrow.
I reckon he'd be doing this:

Agree. The main difference however is their salary structures, as usual take with a pinch of salt for accuracy, but Rodrygo is thought to be on £15m per year whilst Savinho is on £2m pa at City.

Exactly the way Levy looks at it.

Rodrygo guaranteed to be 10-20m more in transfer fees and (call it 12.5m per year) even if we doubled Savinhos wages to 4m per year, 40m more expensive in wages over a 5 year contract.

Rodrygo in total would be 60-70m more expensive as a transfer.

So, on the surface Rodrygo and Savinho look like we are overpaying but really Savinho only ends up half as expensive if he’s successful and we have to offer him a new contract

Savinhos not even training with the city team is he?
Is it to protect their asset as its a big transfer fee involved?
Is it because peps banished him for stating a desire to move?
Or is it because savinho has told city 'it was only ever tottenham' and doesn't want to play for those plastico's anymore?

Coys
I would imagine it's Pep's way of freezing him out if he's stayed that he wants to leave.

Fair enough and sends a message to others in the squad what happens when you express a wish to leave.

This could all be bollocks as well if he's named in the matchday squad to face Wolves - when will that squad be named? Today?

Savinio must know that he is behind Doku in the pecking order and be understandably unhappy with that. Is it a bit of a worry that he won’t stay and fight for his place?

The construction of the payments could become the issue here. I don't know what Palace are demanding up front, but if it's 75% for example, Levy might forego the release clause and pay over that in order to secure more favourable repayments.
Either way, hopefully it gets done before our first kick of the season. If it's still not confirmed by Sunday, then it'll be interesting to see if he's in the Palace squad, that will be a big indication if we're close I'd imagine.
Had to be done asap.

If Woolwich sell Trossard and Vieira in the next week, they’ll be in for Eze straight away. They could lose to Utd and decide to spend big on him and a LW.
