In an upcoming WC year I can't see Ancelotti selecting a third in the pecking order winger who has perhaps played a dozen games for his club.
Not overly concerned about an erratic and unproven winger like Savinho, Eze is the real difference maker this window (together with Kudus).

Spending almost seventy million on a twenty one year old that is third in the pecking order at ANY club is more than risky.
City paid forty five million for him last year, and were allegedly turning down a sixty odd million bid from us.
For a player who can't hold down a first team spot, paying over thirty million more than he cost last season is plain stupid.

Yeah I did think we would hear something more positive on it by the close of play today yet it seems like no progress has really been leaked to the press. I was hoping for something like Eze expected to sign his contract or go to a medical at spurs tomorrow but it feels like we aren’t near that yet.
The only thing im worried about is the quality of player if we don't sign savinho. Thats my only worry with this.
If we go into a season with only Tel Odobert and Johnson on the left wing, we are setting up Frank for failure.
