Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

eze must be done tomo, books closed on 365 and its 1/9 on hills.
Reckon Palace will push through a rapid deal for El Khanouss in the next 2 days with Eze announced by friday. After their lack of action this summer I think they need a replacement announced before Eze is official but with the money virtually banked and El-Khannous having a release clause should be fairly cut-and-dry.

Really think we have 1 more £40-60m signing left in us before deadline day, if it's not Savinho really hope it's in the same frame as Eze/Kudus in being an obvious upgrade and a target that clearly displays we are not concerned about targeting players who will require competitive wages (£150k+/week) for us to sign them. My dream signing would be Leao as the fee would be realistic, certainly within the range City want for Savinho, he is a top player entering his prime years with a skillset that would translate to any league in the world and we could give him a significant payrise without putting him on silly money, and no top clubs seem to be gearing up for a serious move for him. I honestly think those are the kind of signings a Liverpool makes and then every top club is kicking themselves for not seeing the clear value for money staring them in the face in a player that justifies the admission fee with their flair to boot.

30 million more than he cost from a sister club which means the price they paid was bollocks. He’s still very young and there’s not a lot of top tier wingers out there and he’s atleast proven he CAN play in the PL. At minimum it seems he’ll be a tricky winger who will create chances. If he continues to get better, scores goals, etc. he could be a top tier player. And again, he was 20 most of last season. Seems a reasonable fee to me. Especially because the fee is just one part it. Probably wouldn’t demand the wages of Rodrigo.

" And again, he was 20 most of last season"

Wasn't he 20 until he was 21?

I like that idea but I really can't see usngoing for that.
Eze and leao are both not particularly good defensively. I think it would leave us too easy to play through and our press would suffer badly for it.
I can't see many alternatives tbh, certainly not at the level of savinho and with his potential. I think the next one down the list would be fofana but its a drop off for sure.

Its not over. We will have to see how things progress in the coming days.

Semenyo is worth whatever the going rate is for Rodrygo, and double whatever the going rate is for Savinho.

I hope we’re just trying to unsettle Pep and City TBH.

My LW prediction. We'll try a bit more for Savinho and noises will be made over a few others, but in the end stick with Tel / Odobert / Richarlison / Eze rotating in that position.

Brentford will go down and we'll pinch Carvalho off them next summer for a nice cheapy Daniel special.
