Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I really like him. He'd be a massive improvement on what we currently have.

He wouldn't have the same ceiling as Savinho but he's every bit as good as him right now if not better. He destroyed us at Goodison Park last season. I was in awe of how good he looked that day. Has plenty of goals and assists in him too.
Everton are desperate for new players too. I know swaps are rare but players like Solomon, Bissouma, Dragusin, Gray etc would improve them

As expected the Eze shit has entirely postponed everything else in the window and we will leave it all to deadline day, because this club cannot multitask apparently. No player sales no other bids just full focus on Eze and Savio as both clubs openly mug us off and gleefully waste our time.

Pathetic, but so predictable.
He needs to pay up now, concede on every acceptable negotiation point and close it.

Bro - it will not get done until Palace gets their replacement in.

What is hard to understand about that?

You would expect the same from us, would you not???
That is horseshit. If we had agreed the price they wanted he would be doing a medical today. The fact is we have gone in late in the window for players when it is notoriously difficult to do transfers. I am am 60/40 that next month Eze is still a palace player they may lose value but Parish and co do not think about that.

Or of course it could be that there are factors of which neither anyone on this forum, nor anyone who makes things up online, even those who are apparently "connected" are aware of?

I know it's incredible to believe that Spurs, Crystal Palace, Manchester City and Real Madrid don't keep these ego-crazed no-marks continuously updated with the minutae of their business affairs but I'm sure you will accept that it's a possibility.

Just like when we sold Bale and bought 7 players with the money we knew we were getting -

mate, come on.

They are selling a player and bringing in a replacement. Not moving house! They don't have to do it all together. Could easily sell Eze now and get their replacement after. Feels strange risking it all by playing Eze every game while this is all apparently "verbally agreed".

I know you pride yourself on being one of the positive posters on here and I've no issue with that. But surely you'll admit you'd be very concerned if Eze was to play tomorrow night for them?

But what's late in the window? And when did we go for him? If I recall we were 'in for him' at the start of the window but he supposedly said he was only interested in going to Woolwich? If that's the case how can your view on the way it is be true? It's only relatively late because our serious approach was a couple of weeks ago now, triggered by the injury to Maddison and Woolwich losing interest (or being short of cash), which left almost a month to complete a deal.
I don't think it's 'horseshit' to say that Palace need a replacement before they agree a deal - why shouldn't they do that, particularly as it's 'so late in the window' and they actually don't 'need' to sell Eze? They have moved quite quickly to get that replacement since our serious approach which sort of proves that they do want a deal but on their terms (our need is greater than theirs). As Dudu said, we would expect the same from our owners wouldn't we? (irrespective of whether we get it)
There are lots of times when we haven't moved with the right commitment and speed in the transfer window - I just can't see this being one of those times.

Exactly how Levy wants it. The Eze deal took too long/fell through last minute so we were unable to do deals for other players. The fact Eze is playing in the Conference League tomorrow is ridiculous.
Whether they plan to keep him or sell him, I would be amazed if they play him tomorrow with a big game against Forest on Saturday. Can see Palace trying to get out of this competition as quickly as possible...

No chance. It’s their first ever run in Europe, they’re going all out for it. I expect Eze and Geuhi both to play if a fee isn’t agreed and medical booked.
