For a supposedly astute negotiator, Levy got his pants pulled down proper on this one, and he only has himself to blame if he didn’t ready any plan Bs.
Maybe it is the case that he’s truly thick-skinned levels beyond anyone else, but it’s such an embarrassment for him, and especially among his peers.
The issue with thinking you’re the smartest person in the room is you have no backup plan for when it turns out you aren’t.
Yeah, poor form without a doubt. Maybe the life raft some tried to throw him is legit - that he sniffed it out but stayed the course to at least cost the goons an extra £10M but seems wishful thinking. Even if its true, £10M is fuck all in context.

This is a new low for Levy and us. The bungled transfer is disgraceful enough. Funny how woolwich nomads can move so quick while we wait for the ice caps to melt.
The worst thing for me is the Richarlison swap story. That has me fucking fuming. Cut him and I think you'd see THFC colors. He clearly loves us and feels he has something to prove. We now have a (decent) medical department and a clever manager who looks at the small details, trying to plan a way for Richy to stay fit.
He was a star in the final winning the trophy, he looks in incredible form and just scored two absolute bangers. He looks fitter and sharper than we have seen him for us.
Then bald commander decides to swap him. Not even sell him, but a degrading swap.
It's an utter disgrace. He should be fired for such bullshit. Great so we lose Richy, then fail to sign Wissa. But at least the wage bill has gone down again!
I pray this has not spooked or rattled Richy. I fucking love Richy, always did like him, but he has a real chance under Frank and the medical / coaching staff to thrive. What a player he is when fit and healthy.

So after over a week of Twitter jockies saying a deal was agreed and the signing was imminent every single day, only for it to turn out woolwich had agreed a deal 10 days ago...you believe when they say the deal got hung up trying to work in a swap for Richarlison?
I'm not really sure what its going to take for some of you to realize this cottage industry of transfer rumours is a complete sham...
