Its crazy as you have clubs like Newcastle & Villa wanting to spend because they can't and you have our owners being able to spend but they won't , for all the stick Levy gets he has actually given us the foundations as a club to be able to compete with the rest of the top 4, unfortunately our business model doesn't allow it though. Our level is because of our ownership.
We are a London club with all the building blocks to be hugely attractive. I genuinely believe this. People call me a gooner etc but the reality is that I can see a club which has potential to be so much more than it it is actually trying to be and that is why I get frustrated, especially when people big up some of the average we have as elite.
Ambitious ownership would absolutely cook here. The room with PSR, the attraction of London, the stadium already in place for the future .. the one thing I will credit the ownership with is they have built a good platform for OTHER owners to take over and deliver actual on the pitch success. The foundations are all there - they just won't pass the mantle on.
He can win if he starts paying proper wages and stops nickel and diming his way out of good deals
Or Sterlng Moss and he's dead!
Think Savinho will get done. Levy needs to save face and so will push the bid up towards 70m with add ons. It's a big bid for someone surplus to requirements at City. The player wants to play.Probably ... no link really matters currently, the media have gone in to overdrive on us since missing out on Eze because they assume we're gonna scatter gun .. that and they like winding up Spurs fans.
I think we'll go back in for Savinho again and submit a bid which is big but not quite big enough and then Levy can say we really tried and we offered a record fee.

The spanner in the works might be Rodrygo though.
The transfer fee was agreed, Woolwich matched it for a player who used to play for them and wanted to join them rather than us.
The money both transfer fee and wages for the player was accepted by both parties.
Shit happens.
We move on.
If it's that Bilal kid, of course there's a substantial part of me who'd love it if he tore the PL a new one.Im still a long way behind the latest bullshit.
But if I had to choose from the options available for rhe 10 it would be paz.
Paz > akliouche.
Rogers and simons pipe dream. Then again any decent player seems to be a pipe dream. Im not sure akliouche will be a big success in the pl and hes 23 and I just dont see a player with a very high ceiling.
Paz is a freestyle 10, can do it all and is showing it in seria a. He clearly has a high ceiling to me.
Paz and savinho would recover the window somewhat. We're not going to compete for anything serious in the near future so id target these players to build for a couple of years time. Both hugely talented.
Saying that these useless twats will probably take the easy option of BEK. Hes one i could see us trying to shift in a year or 2, hes out his depth for what we need imo.
My only gripe was , ir was pretty obvious we were being pissed around, yet we look like mugs for being strung along
City don’t need Rodrygo though they have so many options wide already
Agree. Eze is a Gooner, but the club need to bring in elite players asap.
Savinho, Paz and Akilouche would do nicely.
I agree, and its shocking it took us so long to get a replacement for the MGW knock back, shocking amateur behaviour by usErm yeah ... of course, but it would be nice if we could actually identify those players, and those players were of genuine quality.
Eze knocks us back at the start of the window .. fine, who cares. Eze knocks us back with a couple of weeks to go with teams scrabbling about and not wanting to lose key players now, not good. Now we need to find someone equally as good if not better.
Or...y'know...none of them.Don’t see us getting both Paz and Alikouche
Prob one and then Dibbling or BEK as the backup 10
If that's true, we bid enough for Savinho then he is ours.
It's in Levy's pockets.
2/3 would be still fantastic window, only Savinho is absolute minimum it will be disgrace if we cant do this in those circumstances tbh, 0/3 is exactly what Im expecting with this boardAgree. Eze is a Gooner, but the club need to bring in elite players asap.
