Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

My only gripe was , ir was pretty obvious we were being pissed around, yet we look like mugs for being strung along

Thing is mate it’s like trying to pull a fit bird, yeah there’s a chance you get humiliated but if you don’t try you don’t get. Better to try and you might succeed.

Eze was a unique case he’s a fucking gooner. Savinho wants to come it’s not like we can’t get players here but some players will prefer other clubs as we aren’t the biggest in this league or Europe

Painful to watch Frank in the presser.

When asked directly if the squad is better than last season with Son/Maddison out and Kudus/Palhinha in, all he could say was that it’s “similar” and that when he came in he thought it was a “good squad”.

:frankfacepalm:

I know sometimes there is debate around this under previous manager but there cannot be any doubt if we don’t sign two top attackers, Frank has been thrown under the bus. I know we’ve always been left one or two short every window but to leave such a critical area such as left wing and number 10 empty and basically relying on kids who have proven nothing is outrageous.

Our attack is midtable quality as it stands. No other top club would fuck their manager over like Levy has so far with Frank. He does it every single time the cunt

You think Marinakis is harder to work for than Levy.

With the transfers they’ve done and players they’ve kept, Ange could easily muster another 5th place with that Forest squad. And I dread to think what they would do in the EL.

 ..... read what i wrote nothing to do with Levy, its about what a prick twat Fattynakis is.... Fattynakis would scold & disown his own mother in front of camera, such is the screw loose in that fat irascible mental unstable cunt, it wont take long for him to rub the wrong way no-nonsense blunt straight shooting Ange.

Looks like Amad Diallo from Man Utd signing for us is now gathering a bit of pace (since there seems to be no other viable options for us out wide)
No source just a little prediction i made 3 or 4 months ago

Would be a great signing if we can't get Savinho

If we knew the player was totally set on Woolwich then we should have never gone in for him in the first place and wasted our time/embarrassed ourselves all over the media in this way. Now we're sat holding our dick in our hand and scrambling for other back up targets.

Can you not see how badly planned this window has been from us ??? It's awful. We look stupid and have been mugged off in front of everyone. It should've been a case of stumping up the fee for Eze, immediately saying to him he has to join now and we won't be holding up waiting for you to join Woolwich, and then if he did that walking away.

Amazing how Eze didn't play in Europe when he was joining them...
Here's my guess on what happened.

Eze was set on Woolwich earlier in the window, but things did not move forward (maybe Woolwich too was waiting for the release clause to expire to get a better deal).

It looked like Woolwich was not going to pursue the player, so we expressed interest, which was welcomed by Palace and the player. Was this because they wanted to jolt Woolwich into coming back in for him, or was it because they genuinely thought this was the best deal for them? We have no idea (and this is the key point - no one really knows and you can make assumptions all you want).

Woolwich does end up bidding for the player and, since Eze's heart was set on them, naturally the deal with Woolwich happens.

Should we have not tried to sign him just because there was an earlier link with Woolwich? If we didn't everyone would be moaning that we are not trying. We tried and got gazzumped because Eze wanted Woolwich and everyone is moaning that it was foolish to try. In retrospect, yes it was. But at the time we had a clear path to sign the player. This is not the first time that this happens in transfers. We've done it to other teams ourselves.

That's all there is to it. Blame whomever you want, but this is not unusual. People are just getting more worked up about it because of the MGW fiasco earlier in the window.

If it's that Bilal kid, of course there's a substantial part of me who'd love it if he tore the PL a new one.

But at the same time, Levy really reeeeeeeaaaaaaaallllllly does NOT deserve to get lucky & strike gold.
So you wouldn't mind that our transfers are shit, just so Levy doesn't get any credit and there's one more stick to beat him with, than to land a quality player that's going to help the team compete at a higher level.

Got it...
