Guess they weren’t really fussed about replacements after all

I know sometimes there is debate around this under previous manager but there cannot be any doubt if we don’t sign two top attackers, Frank has been thrown under the bus. I know we’ve always been left one or two short every window but to leave such a critical area such as left wing and number 10 empty and basically relying on kids who have proven nothing is outrageous.
Our attack is midtable quality as it stands. No other top club would fuck their manager over like Levy has so far with Frank. He does it every single time the cunt

June: We wanted MGW. Eze wanted Woolwich. Woolwich approached Eze.Here's my guess on what happened.
Eze was set on Woolwich earlier in the window, but things did not move forward (maybe Woolwich too was waiting for the release clause to expire to get a better deal).
It looked like Woolwich was not going to pursue the player, so we expressed interest, which was welcomed by Palace and the player. Was this because they wanted to jolt Woolwich into coming back in for him, or was it because they genuinely thought this was the best deal for them? We have no idea (and this is the key point - no one really knows and you can make assumptions all you want).
Woolwich does end up bidding for the player and, since Eze's heart was set on them, naturally the deal with Woolwich happens.
Should we have not tried to sign him just because there was an earlier link with Woolwich? If we didn't everyone would be moaning that we are not trying. We tried and got gazzumped because Eze wanted Woolwich and everyone is moaning that it was foolish to try. In retrospect, yes it was. But at the time we had a clear path to sign the player. This is not the first time that this happens in transfers. We've done it to other teams ourselves.
That's all there is to it. Blame whomever you want, but this is not unusual. People are just getting more worked up about it because of the MGW fiasco earlier in the window.

Translated: Marinakis is making decisions on transfers that Nuno doesn’t want.
Those decisions may already be bringing players for the next manager

I'd love for Savinho to happen, but it won't be because Levy wants to save face. I doubt he gives a shit. I would prefer a #10 over Savinho, though. Even when Madders and Kulu are back, we'll definitely need on more quality player in that position.
Mate have you forgotten the halcyon days ( two and half) of new investment naming rights Kudus MGW more to come Wharton on the way.

June: We wanted MGW. Eze wanted Woolwich. Woolwich approached Eze.
July: After missing out on MGW, we still didn't want Eze. Woolwich prioritise Madueke and Gyokeres over Eze and tell both Palace and Eze they need to sell before they can buy. Looking very likely that Eze could even stay at Palace due to lack of genuine interest.
Early August: Maddison does his ACL and we decide we want Eze again. Since Woolwich let Eze down by prioritising Madueke and claiming they can't buy him until they can sell first, Eze decides he's open to the move. He's 27 so now or never, he'd rather join spurs than stay at Palace!
This week: Woolwich were monitoring the situation all along through Eze's agent and Parish and do a late hijack. Spurs naively believed that Woolwich had to sell before they could buy - something I'm guessing both Eze's camp and Palace told us.
The truth is, Eze was a second option or a choice for Spurs. Spurs were a second choice or an option for Eze. Neither had the other one as their first preference. In another universe, MGW joins Spurs and Woolwich decide not to pay 68m for Eze so Eze stays at palace and we are the one's who messed him around by never following up on our interest. The outcome hurts as everyone got what they wanted bar Spurs!
A 4th choice LB after VDV, Udogie and Spence? It’s probably because I have had a bang on the head or something but can someone explain to me why we are going after more wide players?
We have loads of them and even more that we can’t get rid of, we need a bloody creative centre midfielder and another option at left back
