"To be very, very clear, I don’t want any players that don’t want to come to the club. They don't want to come to the club, to wear this fantastic badge, we don’t want them here."

...TF at press conference.

Well said, that man. In other words, fuck off Eze.

I think its fair to say that Frank isn't a fan of Eze anymore. Atleast with MGW, he had the decency to pick up the phone and apologise to Frank and whoever else about the outcome.

By all accounts, it sounds like Eze completely ghosted the club once Woolwich made their move.

I know Romero is the captain, but will be interesting to see if he can hold his old instincts in check if / when we meet Eze at Woolwich...And Bents does like a cheeky trailing leg...

Based on historical trends, conceding less than 50 will virtually guarantee a top 10 finish. This should be very doable with this group of players.

And unless the attack ends up being absolutely terrible, I'm talking about "a goal per game" levels of bad here, I'm reasonably certain that we can climb a few more ladders inside top 10.

I think most people here would gladly take a top 7-8 finish this season after last year's utter mess of a league campaign.

We definitely need some reinforcement up front, but this math concerning how many goals and assists we've lost in between Maddison, Son and Kulusevski doesn't tell the whole story. That team shipped 65 goals.

If I were Thomas Frank I'd consider quitting already. He's not going to get any good players in now, he'll have to deal with a shit squad that finished 17th last season. He's on a hiding to nothing. If I were him, I'd give The Bald Cunt the finger and walk away from this shit show.

Fits with the characterization that Eze really had no interest in Spurs and was merely using us as leverage.

MGW honestly reeks of a kid afraid to leave his first job and "let people down".

We've conceded 60+ league goals for 3 straight seasons - despite the constant crowing over attackers, our greatest issue has been our shite midfield and defence.

He'll be sacked by Xmas most likely anyway, due to our shite squad and pisspoor transfer strategy. If he quits now, it'll just save time in the long run and he'll have a chance of getting a better job somewhere else.
If he quits, he has to pay us likely millions of pounds at this point. If he stays and is sacked, we have to pay him somewhere north of £12M in all likelihood.

Again - I understand, and share, your frustration as a supporter. But your statements here are not tethered to reality. This is a profession with astronomical amounts of money involved. No one is setting 7-8 figures in £s on fire because they're upset at their boss.

Even Conte didn't. He intentionally went in front of the press and said a load of shite he knew would upset the club, but wasn't grounds for termination, then made up a medical excuse for why he had to down tools and go back to Italy. Shrewd piece of business for him.

Well I hope he’s got more honour and decency than fucking Eze and the shit show that is Crystal place …….Thomas Frank is the most positive thing to happen to Tottenham Hotspur in ages .

Even if we were to sign nobody until the deadline, this would be by far the best group of players he has ever worked with. He's almost 52 by the way, not some highly touted young manager with greener pastures ahead of him. This might be as good as it gets.

This doesn't excuse the window we've been having so far, but puts things into perspective from his point of view. He'll at least give it a fair go before throwing in the towel. Rightfully so.

Of course he'd like a signing or two, which manager wouldn't?, but he's not crying himself to sleep just because we missed out on MGW and Eze.

He needs 2/3 players in this window to both support and give him half a chance in the competitions that we are in.
Trying to muddle through with what we have is borderline stupidity.

You spelt bang average wrongly.

Yeah he'll give it a go, and when we get dicked 4-0 by City on the weekend, he'll wonder why he fucking bothered.

No, he's crying himself to sleep because he's being setup to fail by Levy & co. He's a sacrificial lamb led to the slaughter. He'll be sacked by Xmas.
