Can't get excited by Hincapie

Pound to a penny levy fucks it up

And we really need a 10 , desperately
100% disagree....

I also want a no10 but am absolutley delighted if we sign Hinacapie.

Just takes so much pressure of VDV and increases Franks ability to play wingback system or lopsided back4....without absolutely neededing a no10

I would rather buy a seasoned pro like Hincapie than a Tyler Dibbling like prodigy.

Fair enough

This will just be another example of Don Levy's world class negotiating anyways

No way it happens

I don’t think we’ll realistically end up signing Paz, but I do struggle with the logic behind Romano’s claim.

If Como are rejecting offers in the region of £60m, then financially it doesn’t add up. Next summer Madrid can reportedly get him for around £10m. Even if compensation is involved, it’s hard to see how that would come close to the £30m+ Como could bank now. If Madrid were genuinely prepared to match any bid, you’d expect Como to accept and secure the higher fee today rather than risk a significant drop in value.

It’s also worth remembering that Madrid recently had the chance to activate a £9m buyback clause but chose not to. That window has closed, which makes the situation even more puzzling.

Como may not be under pressure to sell, but rich owners don’t stay rich by throwing away money.
People with money usually get that way by making smart business moves, not by letting £30m+ slip away. From a purely financial point of view, selling now makes far more sense than losing him to Madrid for much less next year and relying on any ‘special relationship’ Madrid will offer them.

Sorry but we need to kick this weak minded approach of "he ain't gonna sit on the bench behind Harry Kane, VDV, whoever.... in to touch.

We seem to be the only big club who's fans use this as an excuse to justify our lack of top signings .....and we're hardly in such a financially perilous position where our fans also need to worry about him costing too much.

It's no longer an 11 a side game mate. Its a squad game. Where 16 players are likely to feature every match. And the squad is essentially competing in 2 parallel leagues in the Premier League and the European Champions League, as well as 2 further domestic cup competitions.

No player will expect to be a first choice starter in every match in the modern game.

You just finish up with inevitable injuries, week squad depth and the subsequent collapse in form we've seen so many times before.

Hincapie would be most welcome as far as I'm concerned, but can see Chelsea jumping in unless we move double quick.
Still need a No 10 and Savinho, doubt we get anything.
It has the potential to be one of the best windows ever or, a fucking disaster with players rejecting us left, right and center.
I’m trying to convince myself were trying to do this deal this way because we’re throwing everything at savinho, but the other part of me thinks it’s panic stations.Brilliant manager could be left short as per, quelle fucking surprise.
