Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We done the exact same thing in January, dicked about until the last week of the window (even though we were in a full blown injury crisis) got knocked back by our two main targets, Kolo Muani and Tomori, put in a £70m bid for Guehi which we knew would get rejected, then got knocked back initially by Tel. Lange started crying cause he knew he didn’t have any other options, and we had to beg Tel to join us and paid Bayern an exorbitant loan fee for a 6 month loan, which Levy would never normally sanction

We are an absolute shambles behind the scenes when it comes to transfer dealings. No planning or structure, just wait and see what opportunities come up. And when we miss those opportunities getting gazumped by other clubs or pissing about trying to haggle with clubs until they get sick of dealing with us, we go into full blown panic mode and start offering silly money for our third choice targets.
Couldn't have put it better myself... watch us spunk 50m on that kid from Leicester... then watch him do fuck all and we are left with another dud we can't get shot of.

Of course my bad

Levy you bald cunt, fuk off from our dickhed, I'm so angry man I'm gonna abuse my fellow fans on forums and act like a complete man child just so I don't come across as a 'Levy lover'

Sad Baby GIF

This fanbase is full of fucking gimps lmao
Think of Normandy , you will feel better

Kudus was the alternative to Semenyo, this is just bollox for clicks! I think after the MGQ and Eze embarrassment the Club has gone into lockdown, if we do sign anyone before the window closes , it will come out of no where ( IMO)
Could even be a case that we're going to point to the left and then go and sign someone to the right.
Or even point to the left and then sack the cunt that leaked who we were pointing at.

Just to throw this out there, if Wham are dumb enough to sell us Paqueta, I’ve had a complete 180 and think he’d be an outstanding signing.

1. In his peak at 28
2. World Cup year
3. Plays 8 and 10
4. If Palinha is Grays mentor, find me a better profile match to mentor Bergvall than Paqueta… you can’t.
5. A MF 3 of Palinha, Sarr, And Paqueta works. So does a MF 3 of Palinha, Bentancur and Paqueta
6. Richy will be even happier than he is atm

Posters are just throwing all sorts of connotations as to which player was bought for what and why that translates to 'X' Not sure any of it is accurate.

What seems apparent, but who knows for sure is that Frank is vetoing numbers for the sake of numbers.

It also means we seem stuck between a rock and a hard place because we are 2 or 3 quality players short, and we will suffer as a result. A big club with no strategy,

In Newcastke, arguably with a better squad, you see quite a parallel. At least they are actively bidding for players.

West Ham surely cannot sell him, they'd need a replacement, plus they're in danger of relegation

Totally agree. It's a brilliant short term buy and would be a great addition to our squad this year.

Problem is Levy is probably looking at the wholesale market value and wondering if he'll get anything back on him in 4 years when he's 32!

A midfield of Palhinha, Bentancur and Paqueta would be a carbon copy of the Newcastle midfield of Tonali, Bruno and Joelinton.

Wouldn't complain if we try for Paqueta.

But I feel we aren't getting any of those linked in the media at all. It will be a total out-of-nowhere signing and done in 24 hours. And then possibly a last minute loan.

And even so, this is setting a high expectation of Levy still. He's so incompetent in signings recenty it's just unreal.

Not particularly "creative"
But lots of energy and power there. Lot's of interceptions and tackles high up the pitch.
People say Sarr isn't creative, but he "created" our 2nd goal Saturday by winning the ball that fell kindly to Richarlison who controlled it before Palinha smashed it in.
You don't need to have a high IQ footballer if you have a system that literally creates chances.

Newcastle are having an absolute nightmare and have just accepted overpaying for players to get them.

55m on Elanga
40m Ramsey
60m bid incoming for Larrson

Literally spending over 150m on 3 ordinary midtable players!

But like you said atleast they are bidding and actively bringing players in the door. Levy looks stunned by the current market prices and is more afraid of bringing in the wrong player then going into the season short. Hard to know which club is right tbh but both having a nightmare of a window!

What is best position, he seems to be all over the shop at West Ham
