Levy is responsible for May 21st, he got us to the point of feeling positive for the first time in 17 years and that's been taken away this Summer by him also so as far as I'm concerned we're back to square one with Daniel, we go again 💪

Just because you have no idea about something, it doesnt mean it's not real?

The whole transfer window has been designed to maximise revenue for news and media companies by dysregulating people. I mean, the entire 24-hour news cycle was created for this reason - for news companies to maximise ad revenue. Sports news is no different - there are countless studies about the addiction to following news sites and what that does to the brain, and the mood.

And that some people'd joy at winning a trophy can be dulled by not buying enough players is symptomatic of that.

Ultimately, even if we did get 2 more players, the same posters would be complaining and be angry and miserable the moment we lost a game and had a bad performance.

True but surely we don't want to be back to square one, after the trophy win and CL football this season, it should be a fantastic time to attract some better quality players and push on. I'd doesn't seem like club are capitalising on the situation.

5 days to go and we're short, hopefully we'll have a miracle in the next few days and get the sort of players we need.

Yeah but if we're back here now then the likelihood is that we'll be back on a high in a couple of months so I wouldn't put too much stock with what's happening now, Frank looks to be a good coach so he'll keep this team competitive - fans will end up forgetting the Summer and give Levy a pass again, that's what normally happens!

ENIC out because everyone is sad, give it a few months, emotions will reset and ENIC in will be trending again, totally on brand with our fanbase, and this thread!

You seem to be conflating social media posts with players holding up the shirt on the official website, that's what we want isn't it? It's quite simple logic, and we know most social media reports and speculative news articles are to be taken with a pinch of salt or laughed at. Most on this forum are doing just that.

But that has nothing to do with the good feeling of getting decent players through the door. It's only you that keeps on bringing all this unfounded media cack in the discussion.

You must think the supporters are idiots.

Posters such as I are concerned that when the CL matches start we'll be short for playing games so frequently. It's why this window is glum.

Have you seen Twitter? Most people online follow these speculative posters and hang on their every word.

You have another spurs site where people DONATE their OWN money to hear fake snippets of news from people who make shit up.

Getting a good feeling from a signing isn't the same as being forlorn and miserable a couple of months after winning a major trophy because you haven't got a couple of signings.

Yes of course, ultimately my point is no one really cares unless you're winning, this is just one of those perceived bad moments the fanbase goes through, they've got over it before and they'll get over it again, I'm sure of it!

It's just taking an interest in something, Oh wow there's a minority of the fanbase on SC and donate, and that's your example of a regular spurs supporter who reads social media and such platforms, because every so often something real happens, but I for one and not the only one discourages people from starting a new player thread until the are holding up the shirt of the club's official site. Why can't we entertain ourselves with the guff in the meantime, we all know lots of players get connected to the club during transfer windows, and the vast majority of those reports come to nothing.

I agree with you - it is entertaining - it is entertainment and no point in getting miserable or allowing it to detract from the best thing this club have achieved for years.

This is becoming tiresome now.

Posters want the club to build on the EL success, and CL qualification. It's nothing to do with the nervous system or dopamine, they just want to see the team strengthened, especially now because of the clubs recent glory and CL matches. But also because we don't have proper cover for certain injuries.

Please have the last word, I have better things to do now than this.
