Interesting thing here IMO, Matt Law was the first to take down his post about the sale and the first to post the denial of the sale

Pretty much confirms what we’ve always known, the Lewis family / ENIC are the ones that use Matt Law to air their dirty laundry.

makes it even more likely that all those leaks about players being unhappy before a manager is getting sacked have also been the Lewis’s using Matt Law…

The fact they’ve chosen a Chelsea fan who hates the club is also pretty telling

Tsai and his brother are loaded but I read that the sports company only has a 500m portfolio. It did at one time include a (majority?) stake in Twente — 2017 ( bought in times of financial distress and don’t know if they still have a stake) and , iirc, some second division Spanish side.
Outside of Tsai, these are absolutely second tier folks. If I’ve read the numbers correctly then Ng couldn’t afford a non-league side let alone a stake in Spurs.
Of the sale is real then I’m surprised that the Lewis family weren’t aware. It would seem that there were no stipulations as to who Levy could sell to.

Very odd situation.

In almost all cases where you have a small number (eg less than 5) controlling a significant asset there is a 'Shareholders Agreement' which sets out what shareholders can and cannot do (eg the rules behind appointing Directors to control the company).

There are also usually rules on how shareholdings can be sold - and typically the selling shareholder must offer their shareholding to an EXISTING shareholder and if no such shareholder wants to buy there will be rules about how to sell the shareholding to an EXTERNAL investor (eg must be at a higher price than offered to existing shareholders, existing shareholders can block a sale in certain circumstances such as new shareholder does not have enough funds etc etc).

Such shareholders agreements are the usual way to go with a small number of shareholders controlling an asset - although the precise contents can vary considerably.

But its rare (as hens teeth) to find a situation where the controlling shareholder has no knowledge of the sale of a minority stake to an external shareholder.

Ng’s company, Triller, went from a $4 billion evaluation to around 40 million. It’s trading at twenty cents per share and it’s probably on its way to getting delisted from the NASDAQ. I wouldn’t be expecting some massive influx of cash from Ng.
Ng's boss, Tsai. Is where the money is at. Ng is essentially Tsai's version of Levy to Tsai's Lewis.

I’m aware of their association via Fubon and I think Tsai is an investor in Triller.
My interest is in how the sports capital company is capitalized. We know that Earick and Ng can barely afford to buy Levy out let alone The Lewis Trust. We also don’t know what rights a minority investor has within ENIC.
Danny boy was obviously looking to free up his cash for some other project, but this seems like a strange one.

Law has been one of the club approved journos for a while now, along with Ali, Mokbel, and Ornstein. I think he's a Villa fan though.
