Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The problem I have is none of them are unsignable if he was prepared to pay what the selling club wanted. The window for quality players is incredibly small for us the only time he has got it right is on the Van Der Vaart deal.
The likes of Moutinho, Leandro and Dybala had 3rd party ownership issues that couldn't be overcome in England.
The likes of Eze, Willian and a number of others would only have come to Spurs if literally no one else was in for them.

He knows what he's doing.
There's no way anyone involved with Eze last week wasn't aware of the Arse thing. They should have dropped all interest when it became obvious he was a gooner and wanted to play for them.
We should never be trying for those ever again.

Football is such a strange world. Managers that are grossly incompetent get paid tens of millions for failure. Players, who are also employees are begged to come and don't seem to have to go through any kind of interview.

It feels like an industry where there's billions of pounds and no one has a clue what to do with it.

You're posting gif from in fucking Bruge and accusing people of bad taste. Its hardly Larry David holocaust shoes....

How Dare You Greta GIF
1. I don’t know what film it is, I just know it’s a popular gif.

2. Whole world of difference posting a gif in response to a post and making a joke about something where 3000 people died.

You aren't a real Spurs fan if your expecting us to sign Xavi Simons. You don't live through the emotional hurt of the MGW and Eze sagas and then leave yourself emotionally exposed again.

Until I see Ornstein confirm that the deal is happening, I'm not allowing myself for a minute to think that we'll be signing Xavi Simons.

Once again, I hope I'm totally wrong and look like an absolute wet wipe! But unfortunately my cynical and negative opinions have all been right so far..
Ornstein the gooner that trolled us over Eze? That ornstein?

Choose better role models!

One advantage of having Frank is that we have a very tactically flexible coach. This means the profiles won’t have to be 100% exact making the range of players we can look at much greater. Meaning far less excuse not to bring two players in at least.

Maybe that will be the final straw actually. I was trying to work out all week what would be the worst case scenario to end the window and I think you just nailed it.

Ornstein to confirm Xavi Simons to Tottenham and then Ornstein to be wrong and for Simons to end up at Chelsea. Wow. You just nailed it. We'd have the Xavi Simons thread created and everything. That would be the icing on the cake lol

Great window altogether if we pull this one off. Certainly a roller coaster anyway, but it's good to see the ambition shown, some big names and big offers made. Hopefully one of them actually gets all the way to a good conclusion now.
And if it is Xavi then it's probably the best of all the players we were in for.

Ever heard of Indy Kaila on Twitter. It was news to me when mentioned on Sunday supplement on Sky last week. Apparently a group of journalists who get a lot of stuff right.
This week we have had FSG have agreed to a further bid for Isaak.
Also Amorim is going shortly. That was before last night.
We shall see!!
