I'll be glad to see Solanke back in that regard. Much more physical than Richy. It's a bit concerning we're into his second season and still haven't seen him healthy. The player he was before coming to Spurs hasn't shown up yet. When, and if, he does he could be a difference maker.

Am hoping that the stalemate with city might ease and we get Savinho last minute but on balance I'd be surprised if we brought anyone significant in now. Wouldn't mind a loan for Gallagher if we could get Gray a good loan as he's the future and needs good quality minutes somewhere

On a player like Semenyo, who is clearly a good player, you do wonder at times. Only 25, so perfect age to improve.

Look at Guehi and that wnaker Eze. They just ran their contracts down,refused to sign new ones and both will end up at bigger clubs, alongside even bigger contracts.

Players must have an idea of their worth and the interest of other teams, and if they don't,their agents should.

I’d rather get another 10 at this point than a winger. Simons is comfortable off the left and I think we need to be able to field an XI with both him and another creator in the attacking midfielder position.

It doesn’t have to be a pure 10, someone versatile would be enough. Rogers would be absolutely perfect but that feels like a long shot.

Akanji has nearly 150 appearances in English football and you've never heard of him or seen him play?

As for ''if he's any good, why is he so cheap?''. Bet you said that about Van Der Vaart, Walker, Dele, Sandro, Vertonghen, Lloris, Alderweireld etc.and think Ndombele, Soldado,Johnson and Davinson Sanchez are 4 of Spurs' best ever players.

In a couple sentences you've just exposed yourself as not actually watching football but watching Sky Sports News Transfer Special religiously instead.

So what about the previous two games where the CM's did progress the ball forward and Johnson still did F A, and was invisible for 99% of the match.

What's the excuse for then?

We can blame Johnson for yesterday, and Richi has more than enough experience to do better, he just decided to fall over hoping for a free kick.

but the ref was shit, and not giving us blatant fouls, but Richi kept doing it despite knowing the ref was a twat.

Rogers can play LW, 10, RW. He’s better than than MGW or Eze but it would be a crazy £80m type deal but Rogers, Simons, Kudus would be one hell of an attack.

This guy we just played against, Alex Scott. Can play 6,8,10 and is a massive Spurs fan
