A non-executive chairman oversees the board of directors but is not involved in the company's day-to-day management or operations. This role focuses on the board's effective functioning and corporate governance, bringing an impartial, strategic perspective from an independent viewpoint to support the executive team. Key responsibilities include chairing board meetings, supporting CEO succession planning, and ensuring appropriate information flows between the board and management.
What about transfers and funds to pay for them?

We’re definitely getting sold sooner rather than later
This is definitely the case IMO, Charrington is a former CEO of Citibank, you have to assume he's a numbers guy who will likely be tasked with making the numbers side of the business as appealing as possible pending a sale in the near future. Lewis is checked out, Levy is now likely waiting to cash out his shares if he's stepping away from the business side of things, Lewis's daughter probably just wants to take the money and live in the Seychelles on a yacht, doubt she gives a single fuck about the club. I think we'll be seeing a lot more rumours of takeovers over the course of this season.
