There was no luck involved. We fully deserved to win.

Winning is binary that’s why it’s so hard to do and so revered.

Participation trophies might make you feel better but they aren’t the real thing.
We was lucky, whether you like it or not.

Yes we put in a couple good performances over Eintracht and Bodo, but the rest of the season was an embarrassment. And we also put in some truly awful performances in the earlier rounds.

If we had taken ManU route to the finals, I don't think we would have got there.

I
Kudus, Simons (Fecking wow!), Muani (Fecking wow!), Paulinha...

And some more exciting young talent... The window wasn't bad at all... Some proper good signing that has made the squad stronger.

The problem is, the club had a messy squad, that was going to take years to sort out, the process started under Ange, but even now, will still take a couple years (2 summer) transfer windows, to the have the required depth of quality to properly challenge for more silverware.

And it should really have never got to this point in the first place. When we got into the CL for the first time, Levy should invested from a position of strength.

I think he really did try to do put his money where his mouth is, the problem is (I am guessing here) that our transfer window could have been a lot better if he wasn't involved.

I think it was too little too late, and I think probably there were some signings that we missed out on, probably for petty reasons. But we will probably never know, and we will have a 1000 rumors and reasons, and only one might be close to the truth.
good post. He messed up with Poch, and has been floundering on transfers since. Good summer this year, but not before time.

I remain very optimistic re the Frank era

Let's be honest Levy made a terrible mistake sacking poch 2019. Been a steady decline since he left which sharply declined last year. Half measures with Levy. I'm sort of hopeful with Frank but if hes not upto scratch I'd bring poch back to finish his unfinished business with us...winning the premier league and champions league
He didn't make a mistake with that one at all. We had relegation form for nearly a year. One won away from home in a calendar year or something. Constantly flirting with leaving. Also add the football in the last 18 months was absolutely dross after teams found him out
He's been on a downward trajectory since then.

He was given a once on a generation squad, when seemingly every transfer just went right. In my opinion, not winning anything with that side is a complete and abject failure. I was happy to see Poch go because we weren't going anywhere under him.

I think he should been far away from the football decisions some time ago. Not entirely out of the club but the football part. If he was pushed away against his will is a bit sad tbh. He clearly loves the club. He was just out of his depth in the sport stuff.

And for me he would deserve every penny!
Yes, he and Enic have frustrated over the past 2.5 decades and I for one have been critical of many of his actions, but ultimately if asked for a one word answer to the question....
Has Enic/Levy been good for THFC? Then I would with out a doubt say YES! To give any other answer would be dismiss the world class training centre and the build of the best stadium in the world and the commercial revenue and player attraction of both, which are the reasons we are the 9th riches club in the world and why we are likely to attract a multi-billionaire set-up to take us to the next level!
A child starves to death every 10 seconds & a footballer chairman deserves 100s of millions. You lot are messed up ha

This stuff about Levy only finding out he was being removed this week is nonsense.

He knew he was being removed three months ago, It's why we brought Vinai on board. How do you think they would have convinced Levy to hire Vinai, without telling Levy he would be going?

"Hi Daniel, Lewis family here. We want you to hire a CEO to take on your responsibilities, erm, don't worry your job is safe. But it's just he'll be doing your job for you, erm alongside you"

I mean come on ffs. Levy was well aware. O'Keefe is saying on LWOS that Levy was told months ago. And how do you think they got Charrington onto the board without Levy knowing his time was up? Do you think Levy didn't notice him or something?

It's also why Levy did that interview with Neville. He's spent 25 years avoiding the cameras and now suddently he leaves just weeks after doing that interview.

That interview was all about him setting the narrative for his legacy. "I'll probably only be appreciated when I am gone".

Yeah, of course he only found out this week. FFS

Genuinely hilarious stuff.

Change for Tottenham are a group that was set up with the sole function of getting Daniel Levy and ENIC out of the football club because he was a huge part in the absolute shambles we had become in recent years. (And lo and behold it’s fucking working!)

What did they expect them so say in their statement? A 10 page tribute to the bloke?
:franksmile::ange-facepalm:

Clowns man.
Perhaps write a more coherent, rational and eloquent statement?

Their existence had zero relevance to Levy leaving, but they have to mention their “ non part in it happening”. Reads as really tinpot and a more sensible “statement” would’ve had the opposite affect.

All the other so called ITK and bullshitters have been piggybacking off this post that was made on spurs community back in April.

"Something has already changed, Lewis has brought in Charrington as non executive director and given him control of his shares. This as happened for a reason, he is obviously unhappy,

I have seen this happen before at one of Tavistock's other UK based businesses, the appointment of a non-executive, review of operations, then changes at board level. Charrington will and remove Levy if necessary, he has a history of getting underperforming businesses to reach their potential.

Lewis also gave our board of directors the privilege of being able to remove and appoint a new Chairman some time ago, 3/4 of the board needed to vote him out, This was done to avoid complacency at board level but obviously hasn't happened, they have all got to comfortable with each other and are now all complacent."

Same guy also posted this back in May

"Best time for Levy to step down :)"

Now all the other ITK are claiming they knew about it back in March.

They really are full of shit and bandwagon jumpers.
