At this stage I don’t even know if your on my side of opinion or not, Where is the Vodka…… were past noon it’s all good.

Just seen an article that the Lewis' are "pumping £100m into the club" as though they weren't able to do that with big Dan in charge.

The more simple fans are lapping it up.
£100m - about as credible as that £150m that was injected previous and never fully spent.

I am suspicious of what narrative they are trying to get us to buy into at the moment. If any member of the Lewis clan gave a real shit, why didn’t they intervene at some of the other points when things were, actually, much worse than they are at the moment ? For example, summer 2021…

And Sorry to be tribal, but we now have an Woolwich man in charge day to day. However much we might want to view him as a “professional” he is as much Woolwich as any of the other ex Woolwich people we have hounded out as a fan base. It could be argued that it’s a tone death appointment, and if it goes wrong it will be fucking murder. Just like it was when George Graham was haunting the dug out. Having Vinai at the club is one thing, having him run the football side is quite another. We will have to see.

And for all the twaddle about a fresh approach, these last 3 months were not fresh at all. The transfer window was “mixed” at best. And the squad remains light, and the football side comprised by failure to get a full quota for the Champions League squad.

You can of course sense my cynicism…

I am glad Levy has gone, but there is a fuck load of people still there who he fronted for and have things to answer for, yet are presenting as their shit don’t stink. Lewis and the clan didn’t seem to care so much when we were flogging our best player and also the failure to succession plan year on year on year. Everything always had a taint of cheapness.

Are we meant to believe that Mr 20% was more to blame for that than Mr 80% ? We are all grown ups, we know who really is responsible for where the football side is.

Oh yes, basically trolling people who want Levy out. just like you state that supporters calling for are simply participating in pantomime.

Trying to belittle public protests and chants in the stadium. that are against Levy.

If you don't think that's supporting him, then I don't know what else to say to you.

I havent belittled chants in the stadium though I havd belittled the disgusting so called fans that booed our players and team at inappropriate times.

My issue with CFT, as I have explained numerous times is their tactic of appealing to the lowest common denominator and hyperbolising the issue to the point where more fans were turned off by them than not. The proof being how few people mostly turned up. I dont respect these kinds of movements because they focus on dysregulating and pushing an agenda rather than working out a way to speak for all supporters.

Killed a football club.... lol. Levy & Co did no such thing.

Failing to invest enough at the right times is a fair argument. Not keeping up with our rivals after getting us into a position where we could is a fair argument.

But because im not filled with hatred and dont feel the need ro spread negativity at every conceivable moment im not a real fan.

I share a healthy skepticism, but the obvious retort here is that different members of the clan are running the show now than were in summer 2021.

It was always regarded as impossible that Joe Lewis would sack Levy as chairman.

Occam's razor would seem to be that that assumption was true, but Joe ain't in charge here anymore.

So it is all change, Vinai &Lange doing transfers and no longer Joe Lewis as principle owner but Viv & Charlie represented by Carrington on the board.
From the messages coming out they are not selling but looking for more investment. Only time will tell if they succeed and we will not know until this 5ish next year if transfers are better funded and do not fall through.
What about Paratici, it was said that he was back full time in October. Just been a consultant till his ban ran out.

Oh I'm not convinced myself, it's a nagging doubt though. If Uncle Joe is still pulling the strings, why the sudden desire for "success on the pitch" when it hasn't bothered him in the slightest for 2 decades? Why would the family now suddenly be "hungering for glory" when they're not even here to enjoy it?

You have to admit that it's just a bit suspicious no?

Now they may just be on the level, but their past interest doesn't really suggest so, for me anyway, so I'm treating their "statement of intent" in exactly the way I treat ITK, I'll believe it when I see it.

I truly hope my suspicions are no more than my imagination, and that they really have decided to push us to greater heights, but we've seen this played out before, with a minority share bought, then a bit more, then the announcement that we have new owners.

I guess there's a touch of fear of the unknown mixed in there, change can be painful and the older you get, the more painful it can be.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not thinking it's a foregone conclusion, just that I think that there are bigger upheavals in the future, and the odds of getting the type of owner we all want aren't as great as many would like to think, especially as you have an entity like the PL overseeing this "fit and proper" farce.

Well, the thing is Uncle Joe isn't pulling the strings anymore. He's 88 and handed the club over to his children via a trust.

I complete get why people might be sceptical. At the end of the day, the club has been run by Levy for 25 years and Lewis hasn't changed him, which must mean that largely, Lewis was very happy with what Levy has done over that period.

There is a key part in all of this though. Joe Lewis's children might have very different priorities, or at least ambitions compared to Joe.

Maybe Joe was a bit tight with his cash, maybe he felt like spending loads of money on players was a fools errand. Maybe Levy and Lewis are cut from the same cloth. In fact I would say that's highly likely. Levy was his protege after all, so they must have had s similar philosophy.

But Joe Lewis's children could be totally different. It doesn't take a genius to work out, that all this change has happened since the club was put into a trust. Essentially since Joe Lewis stopped having a controlling interest.

This is all clearly being driven by Vivienne. She appointed Charrington, she undertook a review of the club, she forced Levy out. This is basically fact. The question is why.

I can only reasonably conclude that Vivienne wasn't happy with the performance of the club on the pitch. She felt that Levy's way of doing things wasn't working.

For me this is a time for real optimism. 90% of us have been willing to roll the dice, remove Levy and let someone else have a go. Yes it might be worse, but I am very much willing to find out. I don't think it will be worse.

Levy did alot of good off the pitch. But he permeated every single fibre of the club. Nothing could be signed off without him. We had plenty of example of him saying no to the better more expensive player, and forcing managers to have cheaper players who often went on to be awful.

It's so good to know that from now on, he won't be blocking the club from progressing on the pitch with his penny pinching ways. We've had 25 years of Levy to know that his way of operating does not lead to sporting success.

Now we will see if we can achieve it, when Levy is no longer the one calling the shots.

When we are presented with a good player, hopefully the club will push the boat out, when before under Levy we never did.

There has to be a reason why Vivienne wanted Levy out. and it must be because she thinks his ways were hampering the club.

That’s sad Lewis & ENIC care so little for the future of our club.
Be careful what you wish for!

Whatever Levy’s faults he’s a Spurs fan so would have had the club’s best interests at heart. Can the same be said for the Lewis family?

We may never find out why Levy was really removed (I don’t buy the Lewis family statement). Maybe he was questioning a potential investor’s motives that they were looking to bring in and that’s the reason he’s been ejected?

I guess we’ll find out in due course.
