Course not ...I was speculating.
I think PL clubs, unless they’ve recently been bought, are always in play. It does look like this has a lot to do with ownership one way or another tho, I agree.
That makes sense too. As many of us on this board have moaned in the past, there is a decent argument that the Levy strategy was no longer value maximising, and the risk of shifting the wage bill up, and buying better players is worth taking (assuming the right coaching team is in place !)

Oh no, I don't believe in (used to) the tooth fairy. My speculation was based on the premise the reported rejected bids had occurred and instigated a response.

Expressions of interest, aren't quite the same thing as bids/offers. I think they're a stepping stone possibly leading to an offer, in the context of business and investment. Like groundwork that's done before an official bid/offer takes place.
So that's what the club have apparently rejected.
