Match Spurs v Brighton (Away) - Sat 20th September - KO: 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Hopefully bagging a ticket for this bit in the Albion end via a mate. Watched them live at the weekend at Bournemouth courtesy of free VIP tickets (ooooo). I thought they were very stodgy. Midfield lumbered without Baleba, Dunk is now a cart horse and they don’t have much spark if you can nullify Mitoma. Rutter is a wallflower under pressure

Haven't beaten them away for two seasons.

This is how they set up in their last game against Bournemouth:

Interesting facts:
  • Brighton completed a Premier League double over Tottenham in the 2024-25 season, the only time they have won back-to-back league meetings against Spurs.
  • Before the 2024–25 season, Brighton had never won consecutive league games against Spurs.
  • Matches between these two teams often guarantee goals, with only one of their 41 competitive meetings ending in a goalless draw.
  • Tottenham has never lost three successive away visits to Brighton.
  • Gary Stevens played for Brighton when they got relegated in 1983 and then went on to move to Spurs.

Any news on why Baleba isn’t starting yet?

My team with no new info would be:

Vicario
Spence Romero VDV Udogie
Palinha
Bergvall Xavi
Kudus RKM Odobert

But if Baleba is fit, I’m maybe swapping Bergvall for Sarr

Mitoma and Minteh are their two biggest threats, particularly the latter.

Get to grips with those two and we edge it.

I'm going 1-0 Spurs. Romero header/set piece

I need to own up and take the blame here. Watched this at home with the daughter’s BF. Half time I get up to go get a beer and without a second thought uttered the least clever thing possible.

“We don’t lose from here”.

He’s never let me forget it.
Oh the life of a Spurs fan!

I remember the Leicester home game - I went to the bar at the stadium at half time & said to me mates :-

'Oh nothing much is gonna happen after the first few minutes im going for another pint'

2 goals in less than 10 minutes against us...came back going WTF!!! while me mates blamed ME for it :D
