Match Spurs v Brighton (Away) - Sat 20th September - KO: 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I would like to see us put our strongest team out for this given we can rotate heavily for Doncaster.

Left side is a bit of a problem. The trouble with the Spence / Xavi combo is they both like to come inside and therefore we lack width and consequent wide threat on the left so teams can double man Kudus on the right.

I think Xavi can only work on the left with Udogie at LB who will prefer to stay wide and cross with his left foot. If Spence plays, then logic for me is to play Odobert on LW who is our only touch line winger for the left and Xavi in the 10.
Loo,ING at the performance midweek I'm not too sure

Really hope Richarlison turns up today if he starts.

We can't go through the season with no striker performing, will make things difficult for us.

Important game. We humiliated ourselves there last season. With rivals facing each other, it’s a chance to get ahead by winning a fixture we’ve stumbled over a lot recently! Let’s hope we take the so called ‘lower opposition’ seriously. We seem to be more fluid away from home with Frank, want lots of goals today.

2-4 Spurs

Brighton's home form is unreal.Only lost two games since January there and have beaten City, Liverpool and Chelsea in that time. Drew to Newcastle.

If we were to win today it would be an unbelievable result.

Yes we should be beating the likes of Brighton, I agree. But we're playing away, and just a couple of weeks ago we lost to Bournemouth at home. Last season we lost to teams such as Wolves, Ipswich, and Leicester.

Also last season we finished 17th, as nobody on this forum gets tired of pointing out. In our last outing we struggled to beat an average Villareal team at home. We are currently not a very good team.

Hopefully Tomas Frank can rectify that, and I think the signs so far indicate that he might, but there are bound to be bumps in the road along the way.

As long as the overall direction of progress is upwards, the odd loss to some of the Premier League also rans is mostly acceptable.

:confused:We're 3rd mate, best defensive record in the league - 3 clean sheets in 4 in the Prem, 4 in 5 in all comps - to say we're not a very good team is just stretching it, you're doing way too much here.

At the end of the day we shouldn't be losing to Brighton regardless of circumstances and we shouldn't be accepting a loss just because we are in transition and we have a new manager.
