Match Spurs v Brighton (Away) - Sat 20th September - KO: 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Think we’ve been the better team in many ways. Just been sucker punched. Awful goalkeeping as well. Was he trying to make it more spectacular instead of just getting behind it. New keeper should be a high priority. Richarlison is painful to watch sometimes. Kudos incapable of releasing it quickly as well.
No, he was not trying to make it spectacular. It was a knuckler and he fucked up.

Vicario should do better, but that's a crazy knuckleball that has come straight from a horrendous piece of play from Bergvall.

A good lesson in how reactions here are a product of the going narratives around players.

I think we've managed to have some moments and put in some good combinations at times, especially down the left with Udogie as a 3rd man run, but tbh this is another "50/50 game" where like against Bournemouth where there are big areas for improvement.

I think in general, the opposition is managing to construct possession patterns and how they're looking to attack us better than vice versa. The two centre midfielders look a bit ploddy when they do start moving the ball about and can't quite get there, and the two centre backs need to calm down at times and try to act in relation to each other.

With the ball it's still very much shuffle it about, hit a channel runner or in behind, hit a hopeful cross, and some opportunistic pressing/transition well on the counter. Effort is there, needs more quality - both individually and tactically.

Would like to see Xavi for Odobert , just think we need someone that can be a bit cleverer on the ball and have better movement but this game is very winnable.

Frank walks what he talks.

Said we'd be more attacking.

Wastes no time and goes balls out here, today.

Wave after wave.

Give this guy time to get the squad right and up to scratch, quality wise, and we'll be a real force.

Tactical, flexible, methodical, brave.

Got the full package.,

Just needs the right mix of players.

Fuck knows what the three minutes VAR check on our goal was all about .

They must have looked at absolutely every shot and tackle for five minutes before to see if there was anything they could disallow it for.

Yet when we get a decent shout for a pen, the check is over in seconds.... literally seconds.

Surprisingly enough, even after two nil, Brighton have been doing nothing to keep things tight. Very free flowing game with lots of end-to-end stuff.

Udogie is leaving so much space behind him despite playing fine in general, not sure whether by design or by his own initiative has he been pushing forward this much.

Frank will probably have to take one of Bentancur/Palhinha out for Simons, dropping Bergvall slightly deeper instead. Risky enough, but could pay dividends.
