Match Spurs v Brighton (Away) - Sat 20th September - KO: 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

All in all I'm happy with that. It's not an easy place to go, they've put 7 past us in the last 2 there. So we took their 2-0 and did not lose our shit. This bodes very well.

Bergvall and Kudus were titans in the 2nd half the effort from them really stood out.
Xavi looks a brilliant signing, very smooth and comfy on the ball. He can fill the void left by Madders, looks perfectly at home in the middle.

Worked hard , showed we never give up which is a good sign , great second half and we deserved that point and maybe more , udogie had a great game so more competition for starting spots is great , bring on the next game .

Shame we didn’t have Solanke/RKM to bring on, Richarlison is so loose on the ball and inking up. Like the guy, but my word he’s frustrating. Thought we were worse when Bentancur came off. So underrated by fans. Even playing poorly Bergval still makes things happen. Romero good again. Kudus flatters to deceive but he atleast gives you hold up and ball retention
Agree on Bent but not with Kudus - he works very hard and he is direct - takes on players - and played quality balls into the box that should have been finished (Xavi Chance). Class act imo

This feels like a season where teams are going to be taking points off of each other left right and centre, more than ever.

After only three games, Liverpool were the only team with a hundred percent record. Think the other teams that we'll be competing for, for 4th/5th will come to places like Brighton and drop a lot of points.

IF.. we beat Wolves at home next week. Then 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss is a pretty good start.. One that stands us in good stead to compete for top 4/5. It's a big game.

If Frank is happy using Muani on the left at times then between him, Odobert, and Kudus you've got to think Brennan's days are numbered barring some ridiculous change in form/quality.
Yeah he's done for sure.

Kudus will play every game he's available at RW.
I think Johnson is battling with Tel now to be 3rd or 4th choice LW behind Odobert, Xavi and Muani.
Savinho will be the nail in the coffin.

After going two down you'd have to think that getting a draw is a great outcome. I'm not sure why I feel a bit deflated. Our goals were scrappy and we seemed to stop playing once the second one went in.

I think, perhaps, that Frank's default setting is very conservative play. That would make us hard to beat but, I fear, may mean we would not have the ambition that this club should have. It's early days and I hope to be proven wrong.

I'll confess to being concerned though.

We feel deflated because we wanted the dopamine of the winner and it didn’t happen. But we have to be happy with coming back from 2 goals down and getting a draw. More pleasingly our performance was very good I thought but still stuff to work on of course

Well, Vicario may have had his faults but shot stopping is not one of them. This kind of sh*t happens even to 'world class' keepers. No evidence today of Vic's old weakness in competing for the ball in the box. And, interestingly today, his long distribution, apart from one kick, was impressive. I believe there's evidence our goalkeeping coaches have been doing their thing.

We bought a striker, Kolo, in the window. Let's see how he fares when he gets full match fitness, and adapts to Frank and the EPL.
He gives me Italian Gomez vibes too often for my liking!
