Match Doncaster [H] 19:45 wed 24-09-2025 League Cup 3rd Round

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

League One opposition Doncaster Rovers landed the shock signing of Tottenham academy prospect Damola Ajayi, signing on the 1st of July during the summer transfer window

He has scored once in 354' of football this season

Doncaster currently sit 7th in the league, having played 9 games, winning 5, drawing 1 and losing 3

Defensive Midfielder Owen Bailey boasts the most goals this campaign, currently having netted 6 times over 858' played

Luke Molyneux on the right wing is someone to keep an eye on, chipping in with 3 assists so far and of course, veteran striker Billy Sharp, at the tender age of 39, continues to contribute with 2 goals and 1 assist in 700' played

The team look to play out from the back, play football according to manager Grant McCann, a sentiment echoed by the long serving Tom Anderson

This is the first time Spurs have faced Doncaster in a professional match

Thomas Frank: “Kolo Muani got a dead leg unfortunately - that kept him out of this game. He was actually struggling with it last week. Hopefully he will be available for Wednesday (Doncaster in the Carabao Cup). Ben got a slight twist to the knee. It shouldn't be anything serious. Hopefully, he will be also available for Wednesday.”

No word on Solanke as of yet but expect a fully fit squad to be available (Dragusin, Takai, Kulusevski, Maddison, Solanke)

Saw some people on twitter stating Williams Barnet and the likes! Have they learned nothing from our history?

Certain guaranteed starters

Kinsky
Danso
Davies
Gray

Johnson

I’d say well something like this

Kinsky

Spence Danso Davies Udogie

Gray Sarr Bentancur

Johnson Tel odobert

Would not turn up my nose at this cup so hopefully play a strong enough team and win .We should have enough lads from the bench from recent games to do the business ,not lads that are nowhere near starting for us yet .

Should be enough to have comfortable lead at 60-70 minute and then sub off Xavi Sarr and Spence for kids.

We need to start strong. And then make subs. I agree we can rotate at CNB as we have excellent options.

Also need a PHYSiCAL line up guys. Come on.

I would much rather WB started vs Johnson. We shouldn’t be scared of playing good young players ahead of dead, mid average players. The latter are what has cost us in the previous 5-7 years, most are gone thankfully
