There's a clear reason why no one went for him tbh.

As for Woolwich, they don't appear to have a scouting department at all. They seem to buy players in the same way that people who don't really follow football would identify them. "That guy liverpool wanted", "That guy who plays for chelsea" etc.
No obvious strategy that I can see - every signing seems to be independent of one another, instead of having some kind of theme.

I hate to admit it, but at one point they were buying smart - they built a decent platform to build from - Gabriel, Saliba, Odegaard, Martinelli all for very little.

It's been the players they have been trying to buy to elevate them to the next level, where they don't seem to have a clue really.

I think Zubamendi is a great player, Rice is clearly one too - but the other players for the most part dont seem to fit what Arteta clearly wants - and seem more like signings to make the fans happy.

"Back to that news on Noni Madueke missing up to eight weeks with a knee injury.

The Woolwich and England winger is not expected to return to action until November at the earliest, ruling him out of a clutch of key domestic and European games for the Gunners.

He is set to miss England's forthcoming games against Wales and Latvia, while also making him a doubt for World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania in mid-November.

Woolwich face Sunderland on 8 November in the Premier League. If Madueke is unavailable for that game and the international break, he could return for the north London derby - against Tottenham - on 23 November."

Of course the fucking cunt will return against us.
