Ex-Spurs Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah it’s coming. A two yarder against Leeds and the same 3-4 posters rushing in with the Johnson song and the where’s the haters. Then another 4-5 games of nothing.

That or a few tap ins in a row and a hat-trick against a morecambe level side before 10 games of nothing.
People also forget that last season, he got most of his goals in a purple patch near the start of the season 7 in seven games or something like that... Then did feck all for months, except expose Porro horrendously on the right, by offer no support to him.

No player has ever made me so downbeat when I see he’s starting for us. I never thought any player could surpass Sessegnon when it comes to my mood but Johnson has succeeded. I’m 100% sure he won’t play at Leeds so that’s made my mind up to go now.

Did he even touch the ball yesterday?
If he did, I must have blinked and missed it.
I hate knocking individual players, as everyone can have an off day, but his contribution to a game is zilch, unless he scores, which seems to be more infrequent as the season develops.

He scuffed a shot that went to Bentancur for the disallowed goal. Had it stood, he would've gotten all the praise, despite actually miskicking the ball.

Remember last year when the entire team worked their butts off
Nope, didn't happen. A lot of players including the currant captain seemed to not give a shit most of the time.

I really do think he should be played as the striker down the middle. Get the ball into him in the 18 yard box and he will most likely score.

He has three in nine games so far, despite many saying he's shite. He's also only averaged around 47mins per game this season. I really do think a change of position helps him and the team.

You have to wonder who scouted him.

They had to have just looked at a highlight video or his stats. Because there’s absolutely nothing else to see.

Really concerning when we spend big on players that almost the entire supporter base can tell are just out of their depth. Our recruitment from other PL clubs has been a disaster.

In my day, that position was called an inside forward, I can't keep up with these new -fangled terms! ;) Think that position would be perfect for him.

As said before, he's shite in his natural position. Playing him as a striker he would have lass space and will be contantly bullied by defenders given his physical. Considering his hability on the ball he would probably be even more anonymous a striker.

Paratici was a big fan, personally went to Forest to scout him
