60 days from when the injury occurred. The player would only have to wait if back earlier than 60 days which won't happen with Solanke.
Depends when uefa decide the injury occurred - he played a couple of games in pre-season before 'resting' to hope his ankle occurred itself, before an operation on or about 29 September. UEFA could determine its the operation causing him not to be able to play - in which case he might need o be out until 29 November (not a real issue I suspect).
The odd bit is the club needs to provide medical evidence for Solanke's illness and for club to ask for Tell to play in place of Solanke - and there is no sign that is underway.
I know Liverpool have used this for really long term injuries (out for season). Are you aware of other clubs applying for 'temporary' changes in squad similar to the Solanke position ? Might give us a hint that UEFA are applying the rules in a more 'rigerous' way than they appear to be written.
